preprius Posted October 28, 2023 Report Posted October 28, 2023 I am thinking of making a lazy susan. I am requesting guidance on good bearings for dinner table or counter top. Also asking about best size as in diameter to make. Quote

kmmcrafts Posted October 28, 2023 Report Posted October 28, 2023 I like the idea of these style here over the other ones. Used to be a crafter at one of the local crafts shows selling lazy susans and he used these low profile bearing style. I believe they already have nylon feet on the bottom of them if I remember correctly.. Not sure what brand or anything that he used but they was really smooth spinning.. give it a whirl and it'd spin for a long time, LOL.. Not that you need that for a lazy susan, LOL.. https://www.ebay.com/itm/386155712659?_trkparms=amclksrc%3DITM%26aid%3D1110025%26algo%3DHOMESPLICE.COMPOSITELISTINGS%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D253997%26meid%3Db90bb314f8034c19bfaf401f817ab67a%26pid%3D101506%26rk%3D5%26rkt%3D25%26sd%3D384841433671%26itm%3D386155712659%26pmt%3D1%26noa%3D1%26pg%3D3458402%26algv%3DAlgoIndex7SimRanker&_trksid=p3458402.c101506.m1851 OCtoolguy and preprius 2 Quote

Richard Hotchkiss Posted October 29, 2023 Report Posted October 29, 2023 I have made and sold around 15 or so lazy susans in the last couple of years. The ones I make are 11-12 inches in diameter and I use a 3 or 4 inch lazy susan bearing purchased from the local ace hardware store and they have worked fine. A number of your woodworking supply companies also sell them and recently saw them listed in the "Wooden Teddy Bear" scroll saw suppy catalog. preprius 1 Quote
