Jewelry Box

This is a gift for a friend who is retiring.  The box is a Steve Good design and the top comes from one of Steve's candle holders. My friend likes hummingbirds  Bottom is flocked.

Design issue.  I made a big faux pas.  I cut the bottom and then the walnut backer. It did not cover all the cutouts. I then had to alter the pattern and re cut.  I should know better to cut the top before the bottom and then I would have seen the error and adjusted the size of the bottom. 

Funny thing is my wife like version 2 better. 

I will cut a new bottom when I get more 6/4 maple.
