My grandson’s eighth birthday party is this weekend. It’s pirate themed and he requested I cut this Jack Sparrow portrait like I have on my shop wall. (Charles Dearing pattern) I made these Pirate Daggers for the invited kids. Made from beautifully free white oak from a pallet at Tractor Supply. I also found these cool Pirate silver dollar hobo coins and got one for each kid, plus one for me. Rrrrrrrrr.

Thanks, Barb. I’ve been able to do very little work in the shop lately, and I love making toys. So it was a fun day.

I also made this “ring the pirate hooks” game and a “walk the planks” game where each plank gets progressively harder.
