Popular Post heppnerguy Posted October 23, 2025 Popular Post Report Posted October 23, 2025 You may or may not have seen the dog I posted a couple of days ago for my neighbor, well, he also ordered this native American subject. I also finished it and because of the delicacy in so many parts of it and knowing he is going to mail this, I decided to add the large backer board and frame to give it my stability. So this is the final results that I ended up making. Scrappile, Wichman, TexasDIY and 12 others 10 5 Quote

Dak0ta52 Posted October 23, 2025 Report Posted October 23, 2025 Awesome piece, Richard. But... I've come to expect nothing less of your work. heppnerguy 1 Quote

heppnerguy Posted October 23, 2025 Author Report Posted October 23, 2025 thank you. It was an interesting one to cut for me. There were a few questions going through my mind, at times as I cut and shaped it, but it all seemed to work out in the end Dick heppnerguy Quote

I wasn't too excited when my neighbor picked this one as I saw so many not so well supported parts so I decided to put the entire project in a frame and I no longer had to worry about it. It was an interesting challenge at times because of the really small and not very well supported parts. By placing it in a framed backer board, I was able to take care of that problem and felt a lot better when I finished Dick heppnerguy Quote

preprius Posted October 25, 2025 Report Posted October 25, 2025 Very nice. Yes southwestern for sure, color turquois, hatchets, skulls and feathers. I can hear a native american Indian chanting and dancing. Me. Mark Eason heppnerguy 1 Quote
heppnerguy Posted October 25, 2025 Author Report Posted October 25, 2025 thank you so much it had it's moments at time but overall it went fairly quickly. Dick heppnerguy Quote
heppnerguy Posted October 25, 2025 Author Report Posted October 25, 2025 thanks. It was a wee pit changing in spots but overall fairly easy. Speaking of Arizona, do you happen to go to Arizona as, what we call, snow birds? My neighbor and one of my best friends now, lives on Victory Island and has been coming to Southern Arizona for over 15 years. We play chess almost every day when he is here. Dick heppnerguy Quote

Thanks Denny, It was interesting to make and I was so happy that I thought about putting it onto a large framed backer board as he will be shipping it to Florida and the feathers and a couple of other items would not make a long distant travel very well otherwise. heppnerguy Posted October 25, 2025 Author Report Posted October 25, 2025 I find it really fun when people can almost feel the theme of a project like I do when I take one on and others make remarks, like you just did Dick heppnerguy Quote
