Popular Post littlecope Posted November 18, 2025 Popular Post Report Posted November 18, 2025 Inspiration can come in many forms, and sometimes will lay dormant for years, before it reaches fruition... Back in the 1990's, I lived close to a small Grocery Store that I visited everyday... Near Christmas time, while standing waiting in the checkout line, for several days I had noticed some templates they were selling... The templates, if you remember them, were for the little white spray-on Winter and Christmas scenes people used to apply to their windows... I finally broke down and bought a set (I think they were something like $1.98?!) to see if any use could be found of them for Scrolling... At that time, after study and consideration, there wasn't anything there that could be worked with... Fast Forward ten years later, and I came across the templates again in my Pattern Files... After re-examination, and with what I had learned in the intervening time, I was able to flesh-out and develop the Templates into usable Patterns... Thus... Once the Patterns were established it was very easy to reproduce them, they are all relatively easy cuts... I often would tape them to presents after marking them with the year and some well wishes written on them! Another year, I stack cut a bunch and gave them to my Co-workers... Still another year, I hung them up into a Mobile for the Holidays and enjoyed bumping into them for the duration... So keep your eyes open! You never know where you might find an idea waiting - even if it takes a while to bloom! 18 November 2025 TAIrving, jerry walters, RabidAlien and 12 others 15 Quote

Jim McDonald Posted November 19, 2025 Report Posted November 19, 2025 I tried using cookie cutters one year and tried to decorate them as cookies. Cutting was spot on--decorating left a lot to be desired. Quote
