Popular Post barb.j.enders Posted November 18, 2025 Popular Post Report Posted November 18, 2025 I did a sale last Saturday and had the most successful sale ever. I sold 8 of my intarsia pieces along with lots of other items. Up until then I wasn't worried about producing stock for the rest of my booked shows. Well, now I am in a panic with three more events. Hoping to get a few more done for the upcoming shows. That said, this is an easy (imo) one that I was able to do in a day. Woods used are Roasted Curly Birch, White Ash and Canarywood. One coat of Walrus Oil for the finish. flarud, Scrolling Steve, FrankEV and 19 others 21 1 Quote

Charlie E Posted November 20, 2025 Report Posted November 20, 2025 That’s very nice and definitely an eye catcher. Hoping you have just enough stock and you sell out on your last event! You really do such beautiful work. barb.j.enders 1 Quote

I am worried about having stock for the next 3 events. One is a two day event!. Charlie E 1 Quote

spirithorse Posted November 30, 2025 Report Posted November 30, 2025 Well done! I wish you great success on all your shows! I certainly don't think the Ying/Yang heart looks that simple but, you did well! God Bless! Spirithorse barb.j.enders 1 Quote

We used to have working with wood shows and wood merchants would come from all over Australia but they would mainly deal with Australian wood. Since Covid the shows have not returned and a number of the mill went out of business. I can order some 'fancy' wood from one place but I cannot see it, I have to order over the phone. There is also another place where I can get it but to say it is not the best would be an understatement. I am better off staining the wood myself which is a shame. Marg barb.j.enders 1 Quote
