The stand is not flimsy.  Very solid.

FINAL UPDATE: and it’s great news. Pegas stand came today, go it built and the saw mounted. Right now I’m using the adjustable feet that came with the saw. I couldn’t be happier, basically noise and vibration free. Couldn’t have done this without everyone’s help, it helped me learn so much about these saws.
