Charlie E Posted December 22, 2025 Report Posted December 22, 2025 (edited) The reindeer is old news, but for those that do shows this might be an attention grabber. I bought this for my grandsons 12th birthday on December 30th. Gonna be hard to let it go. I don't know why when you post videos they have to be downloaded. Just imagine the reindeer spinning in the photo if you don't want to download the video. IMG_7028.mov Edited December 22, 2025 by Charlie E Fab4, JackJones, RabidAlien and 6 others 9 Quote
Dan Posted December 22, 2025 Report Posted December 22, 2025 That's pretty neat. I saw a lot of those levitators on Amazon and thought they were cool. Does the item need to be pretty balanced on the floating disc to work? Charlie E 1 Quote

I balanced a few things on it and just had trouble with one. This tree and dice were no trouble and the tree is 8" tall. It says not to use metal but I don't think it's a problem if it's non ferrous. I put a brass mouse on it and it worked. This is the one I bought. Edited December 23, 2025 by Charlie E barb.j.enders 1 Quote
Scrappile Posted December 24, 2025 Report Posted December 24, 2025 Looks like it might be worn out before Santa gives it to your grandson! Pretty neat. Kids of today have things we couldn't even dream up when I was a kid. I would not trade the times to be growing up, but I do admit they have some awesome things. Charlie E and jerry walters 2 Quote
jerry walters Posted December 24, 2025 Report Posted December 24, 2025 I agree with you Paul. But some of the gifts we had back then were amazing. They will always be treasured in our hearts and minds. Jerry Dan 1 Quote

I went ahead and wrapped it so I’d stop playing with it. I’m so glad we didn’t have cell phones and video games. I try to find gifts for my grandchildren that make them want to get outside, be creative, or use their imagination. Dan 1 Quote
Scrappile Posted December 24, 2025 Report Posted December 24, 2025 I held off getting a cell phone for many years but finally caved. Got a prepaid for $49 on sale at Walmart. As far as I can tell, it does everything my wife's and kids' much more expensive phones do. We'll see how long it lasts. I have to admit they are addictive. The Family was teasing me for being on it a lot after years of me complaining about them doing the very same thing. I tell them to "hush, I have to catch up!" My son asked me if I had reached the end of the internet yet. I do have to admit I had real fun with my son, playing Spades. I think it is the card game I played with my brothers in VN. I swear when we started playing this past week, I could smell the scent of wet canvas tent. Charlie E 1 Quote
