We've been around for awhile. SSV was founded on January 1, 2009. We're a small community, but I think we have a wealth of info, resources and amazing members who'll help you out when you get stuck. We get about 500-600 people per day visiting, most of which are lurkers or folks looking for free patterns (we have nearly 1,500 free patterns available). While we don't have the backing of a huge publishing company, I think our tight-knit group is a great place to talk shop with fellow scrollers. Plus, if you have a question, you'll get some some great answers without the risk of your question getting buried in the forums.

But that brings up a good point. Big websites vs small websites? They both have their pros & cons. What do you like about each? What do you think?

Well, some days are busier than others. Keep checking in and ask questions, offer advice, and my favorite...show pictures. We all love picture. My favorite reading material use to be comic books.

Yep this forum is my favorite . The scrollsawer forum frowns on you if you speak about another publication other then their's. I don't even subscribe to their magazine. Here at the village you can talk about any magazine or website and not have to worry about the moderator pouncing and locking a thread on you. This is "best little village"

No worries. Nobody's mad. It makes for an interesting discussion of big communities vs small communities. I see the pros and cons of each.

Quite honestly, I don't visit other sites very often. SSV keeps me plenty busy. ;)

I think basically we are all members of 2 or 3 sites, and we all know each other well, so I like to think of us as one big scroll saw family, with a few distant cousins that we don't get to meet very often but when we do we're happy to see them. :)

I'm a member of heck I recon 5 or 6 different sites but SSV and the other that i spend a lot of time on are by far the best if you are looking for a bunch of people that treat you like family. I would spend more time on SSV but I need to get to the shop too LOL. Traffic is not as important as the quality of the members . I'll say it right out Travis here, and Rick on my other fav., have great sites and thank you guys for a home for us scrollaholics hehehehe.
