Fab4 Posted July 8, 2013 Report Posted July 8, 2013 Hi Bulldog: Have you tried Inkscape or Gimp This should do what you are after Fab4 Quote
Uncle Ricky Posted July 8, 2013 Author Report Posted July 8, 2013 No I have not tried them, Thanks ILL go and try them now. Quote
Uncle Ricky Posted July 8, 2013 Author Report Posted July 8, 2013 Hey Fab4 what do I do to resize from an 8X10 up to a 16X20 inches in gimp or inkscape. Quote
DonR Posted July 8, 2013 Report Posted July 8, 2013 Inkscape will be your best bet. Just import your image into inkscape and hold down on the control key and pull the little arrows until you get the size you want. Use "File" "Document properties" to change the units of measure to inches. Hope this helps, if not, holler Don R Quote
sullyscroller Posted July 8, 2013 Report Posted July 8, 2013 On gimp go to image ,then scale image ,change to inches and use the up down arrows, break the "chain" to do odd size. don't forget to save before you exit sully Quote
Fab4 Posted July 8, 2013 Report Posted July 8, 2013 Don/Sully: Thanks for jumping in because I wasn't 100% sure on how to do it I'm in the process of learning myself Bulldog: Like Don R stated in his post "HOLLER" if you need help Great bunch of people on this site - You'll get exactly what your after Be careful though because there are a few "crazy in a good way" people on here Fab4 Quote

don in brooklin on Posted July 9, 2013 Report Posted July 9, 2013 (edited) For PDF's I have been using the Posterize function of the new Adobe Reader X. Even when I design in Inkscape, I save a copy in PDF and print from there. You can play with the size or it will enlarge to multiple pages and give you overlaps and cut marks if larger that the paper size. etc, See sample of a pattern that I wanted to be 16 inches wide. amazingkevin Posted July 10, 2013 Report Posted July 10, 2013 I've used "RAPIDRESIZER.COM" by Patrick for 7byears and am total dependent on it for all I do.I couldn't make money till I bought it.super easy to use you can enlarge as big as you want but the amount of paper you'll need can be overwhelming.20" x 4" is as big as I need and I think that was only 9 or 12 sheets of copy paper .it's free to use for 30 or 60 days .you dial dial in the sizes you want and either enlarge width and length at the same time or separate.like if you want the effels tower enlarged proportional or taller and wider or reverse or wider and shorter .you decide you'll love it.postirazor has something similar.on top of this page in the blue is the word more click on that and look for free programs availliable.
