  1. I would use thinner wood for the mules and cut them so the angle is thinner on top of the mule. OR i would cut that board in 1/2, do angled cuts so the mules can be 'pushed' through. Reattach with glue or attach to a backer board to join them. OR make the mules of thinner wood, maybe 1/4 or 1/3 inch and round the edges with a flap sander in your drill press. I would stain the back board with a light stain and the mules with dark stain for contrast. I look forward to seeing the finishe project.
  2. I trim the inner cardboard 'frame' that is in a diamond shape. gives more area to collect dust and lets me get the vacuum nozzle in there to clean it when it's full to extend the life of the filter.

  4. Might be better to have really good movable bases and roll things in and out. Don't make it too easy for the thieves and for the rust.
  5. It just wants us to 'stir up the blood'. Nice job, clean cuts, and it's not about how long, but about how much fun. When I try to go faster I mess up and that ruins everything for me.
  6. The cutting is very nice. I don't understand why you would detach each letter and then glue them all together. Why not just cut out the white parts or insides of the letters and keep them all attached? What am I missing? Thanks
  7. Congrats. What brand is the new one?
  8. Great job! Love the compound cut.
  9. Both look wonderful. I like painted best.
  10. I have this one: https://www.lowes.com/pd/Metabo-HPT-was-Hitachi-Power-Tools-10-In-Slide-Miter-Saw/1002652924 It is a good deal with many nice features and is easy to adjust and pretty accurate right out to the box. I like the space saving folding feature and that it goes to 60 deg. miter.
  11. I agree with ss purism, BUT the one on the right does look nicer. This makes me see the wisdom of combining the two crafts at times.
  12. Can't you return the Delta?
  13. WE have this and it's great. https://www.harborfreight.com/fluorescent-magnifying-lamp-60643.html
  14. Edit out the hat and move the boot over and make bigger to fill circle. OR google cowboy boot clipart and start fresh. I'm sure your software will make the circle around the boot.
  15. these blades are awesome and very reasonably priced: https://mikesworkshop.com/
