I would use thinner wood for the mules and cut them so the angle is thinner on top of the mule. OR i would cut that board in 1/2, do angled cuts so the mules can be 'pushed' through. Reattach with glue or attach to a backer board to join them. OR make the mules of thinner wood, maybe 1/4 or 1/3 inch and round the edges with a flap sander in your drill press. I would stain the back board with a light stain and the mules with dark stain for contrast. I look forward to seeing the finishe project.
I trim the inner cardboard 'frame' that is in a diamond shape. gives more area to collect dust and lets me get the vacuum nozzle in there to clean it when it's full to extend the life of the filter.
It just wants us to 'stir up the blood'.
Nice job, clean cuts, and it's not about how long, but about how much fun.
When I try to go faster I mess up and that ruins everything for me.
The cutting is very nice. I don't understand why you would detach each letter and then glue them all together.
Why not just cut out the white parts or insides of the letters and keep them all attached? What am I missing?
Thanks
I have this one: https://www.lowes.com/pd/Metabo-HPT-was-Hitachi-Power-Tools-10-In-Slide-Miter-Saw/1002652924
It is a good deal with many nice features and is easy to adjust and pretty accurate right out to the box. I like the space saving folding feature and that it goes to 60 deg. miter.
Edit out the hat and move the boot over and make bigger to fill circle. OR google cowboy boot clipart and start fresh. I'm sure your software will make the circle around the boot.
Here are two good sites for free fonts:

I use the clear stick on rubber 'feet' about the diameter of a dime or less. They come in different thicknesses. I like them when using a picture hanger. I put one on each bottom corner so the frame or whatever is level to the wall instead of tilting.
I like your tip. I don't do fret work, but I have tiny areas to sand or reshape. I use all the tools you've mentioned, but appreciate this as another tool for my arsenal. Thanks!
This came from Etsy. Don't know if it's legal, but i copied an element into graphics program, used the 'magic wand' to remove background and viola! If this is a no no, pls tell me and I'll delete it from the board.
IMHO it's not internet speed as I can watch You Tube, etc fine. I found that downloading the video was the solution. Then it played just fine for me. It was slower downloading than other things i've gotten off the web, so I think it's something with this site.
That's a great shop you have. Awesome set up. Color me green with envy. ;o)
Offer them $250, grab it and run. I got one used about 10 years ago for $250. Only thing wrong with it was rust on the table which I got off. I love this machine and it's still going strong. As long as it looks and runs good you'll be OK. Take a piece of scrap to cut as a test when you look at it and change a blade to make sure all works well and check the dust blower too. If you do get it, I recommend one of these: https://jimdandy.com/products/easy-lift-system-for-dewalt-scroll-saw-dw788
Makes blade changes so much easier.
I got the Metabo 10" for Christmas on sale for $229. https://www.lowes.com/search?searchTerm=metabo miter saw
It usually sells for $399, but they made a mistake on the web site and honored it when I called.
Only had it a month or so, but love it! Dual bevels and up to 60 deg cut on the right.
I did it for a year. Nice people, BUT for some reason I had trouble getting paid. Supposedly lousy software, which it was. Eventually everything got straightened out and I was paid all that I was due. Not worth the head aches and hassles for me personally. I wanted it to be easier for me than selling it myself and it just wasn't.
