  1. I became interested in woodworking when I was in High School, I took a 6 week course in woodworking and liked it so much that I started to make things for friends and family. 60 plus years later I am still at it and love it as much now as I did when I was in my teens. I try to get out to my shop every day if possible. Mike
  2. I recently moved into a senior Mobile Home community and I am in the process of getting my shop set up. When that is complete I will make some Birdhouses and Coin Banks. We have 10 other woodworkers in the community that specialize in various types of woodworking I.e. Bowl turning. carving whirligigs and yard art. We met for the first time this week to discuss the possibility of forming a woodworking group where can learn different techniques from one another. We also agreed to share our tools if the need arises. Mike
  3. I make lots of toys for my great Grandsons and neighborhood children. Here are some that I have made.
  4. Great job Don, we all need to get involved with children and teach them to get involved in hobbies, woodworking is one of the best. Many years ago I volunteered to become the craftsman chairperson for our local boy scout troop and I got great satisfaction out of teaching them woodworking skills. We built many fun projects. Mike
  5. Very kind of you and I'm sure the ladies will appreciate it. Mike
  6. That is just awesome, you have the patience of a saint. You should enter that piece in a show as it is a show stopper and will definetly warrant a Blue Ribbon. Thanks for sharing. Mike
  7. I have one but do not use it much, it is over rated in the video and I am very much disappointed in it. I agree that the circle cutter attachment is good but overall I would not recommend it. You can use a sabersaw, jig saw and scroll saw to accomplish pretty much all you want to do. Mike

  17. Usually about an hour before I take a break, I prefer to stand most of the time and when my legs start to give out I sit down. This 81 year old body is not what it used to be especially when the arthritis flairs up. Mike
