  6. It happens.... they even have a tee - shirt. The important thing is to realize that there is a tomorrow and that indeed it happens and by golly if it happens again tomorrow I will just have to have another beer! Sorry to hear that you had a difficult day my friend. Can not avoid having a few of them, just try not to have very many hehe. Some days even doing exactly as the customer wanted it wrong and there is nothing you can do to avoid it. Grin Bear it make a new one and sell the other for more than she is willing to give you. DW

  12. Thanks Roly. I was just replying to this. Karl you can indeed use different woods than are specified in the book. The book is just a guide and is meant to give you a solid foundation on which to build upon. Below is one of the ribbon boxes that I made a while back. The ribbon is made from red cedar, pine and red cedar and it is on a pine box. I try to make the ribbon fit the box as much as possible. Here are a couple of different ones This one I cut from Baltic Birch Plywood Here is another one cut from Baltic Birch Ply however this one was tinted a light pinkish color As you can imagine since we are working in wood and can vary the thickness and type(s) of wood used you can get a very wide variety of colorful ribbons. If you have any questions please feel free to ask them I will be more than happy to answer them if possible. DW

  19. Very nicely done Steve. A couple of seasons back when those bird houses came out there were some real interesting variations to them. Some folks put a little bit of that dried grass in the hole, like a nest. Others cut different bird shapes, Robin, Cardinal, Sparrow, etc. Yours came out great. Thanks for sharing them with us. DW
