  1. Luis that is very different and I like it. Thanks for sharing this with us. DW
  2. Shannon, i use 2 different mops. One is an old 220 grit 4" mob with the paper about worn completely - I use this for between coat sandings on a lot of my projects when I am finishing them. The second one still is a 220 grit 4" mop but it is much more aggressive when sanding. All in all a sanding mop is in my opinion an essential sander to have in the shop if you are going to do intricate fret, intarsia or segmentation. It is good for all around as well. DW

  12. Dan excellent work. The box that was made out of the wood that the insect killed looks like what is called blue pine. Insects burrow under the bark and bring a fungal infection, this is what causes the color change and the tree then tries to isolate the damage but in the process kills itself a lot of times. Great work on those cuttings, boxes and signs. Thanks for sharing these with us. DW

  21. When I am cutting metal ( thin brass ) my tension is not more than about 3 - 3 1/2 on most of my other cuttings however it hovers between 4 - 5. DW

  24. Steve Good designed a wooden weightlifter, both male and female to hold up the arm plus there are a half a dozen other ways of doing it. I use a block of wood for that when I need it. Some tighten one of the pivot bolts until arm stays in place, some install that arm lifter. Each to their own. DW
  25. Nice Kevin. That would look even better with a back light of some sort... perhaps a lit north star shining down on the scene?? Great job my friend. Thanks for sharing this with us. DW
