  1. Very nicely done Jim. That came out great. Thanks for sharing this with us. DW
  2. Very nicely done Dick. I am sure that she is going to love that. Thanks for sharing this with us. DW
  3. If you use real Baltic Birch Plywood the plys are glued with marine glue and are highly moisture resistant and should not delaminate. I have seen folks bend BB ply before with no real problem. DW
  4. Very nicely done Mimi. These will be well received. Thanks for sharing these with us. DW
  5. You can bend it however what you will get is not a 45 degree bend but something a bit less. As the wood cools it will tend to straighten out a bit since it has the tendency to do this you might have to bend it a bit more than 45 degrees. Interesting idea though... I have seen folks make chair backs and seats by molding plywood. Let us know what you come up with. DW
  6. Interesting project Homer. What is making the figures move around.... magnets? DW

  11. Nice Kevin. Looks like you will need to pitch a bigger tent soon DW
  12. Terry you might want to look to sell on ETSY.Com. You will reach more folks than you might first realize. My sales have been around the world this last year. It might take a little time to get interest in your work but the cost is low. I think it would be worth your while to check it out. DW
  13. Terry do not give up. Perhaps change your venu. Look to do the art show circuit. Intarsia and Segmentation tend to be looked at as art. I have a good friend that does intarsia here and when he does craft shows he does not do well. Art shows he does much better. Perhaps it will be the same in your neck of the wood. How long have you been doing the craft shows? DW
  14. Very nicely done. Thanks for sharing this with us. DW

  22. This is not a new thing... a Kevin thing or a Dick thing .... it is however common to every scroller that has hit the "wouldn't it be great IF I had this by next sunday. After all it's only a small order of 50 it will take no time at all to do." This of course sets off our conditioned response- " What!! They gotta be kidding" hehe. Been there, done that, never wanted the tee-shirt. Something I make for these large orders though is a template. Yes, a template. Drop it down on the wood, trace around the perimeter and whala no more having to print patterns and putting them on or having to remove them. Use a #2 pencil though so that you can use denatured alcohol to remove the pencil marks left over from the cutting. Best thing about the template is that you do not have to print that pattern in order to set up to make the item. This is what I have and still do for the large church or group orders Those look good Dick. Bet they would sell like gang busters in Christian Bookstores. Thanks for sharing them with us. DW
  23. Nicely cut Jerry. Thanks for sharing these with us. DW
  24. Very nicely done. I would next time use a wood well known for living in a watery area, Cypress. This wood is a whole lot cheaper currently about $1.70 board foot compared to Cedar, which is about $3.50 per board foot. Just something to consider. Sometimes however you can find someone doing a roof that has cedar shake. I really like your Bird Condo. It reminds me of several that I have seen at one of my Amish friends farm. Thanks for sharing this with us. DW
  25. You've gone into proctology? Nice toy to have. I have been looking for a good FLIR at a reasonable price so far still looking. DW
