  9. the lines between the fingers are cut and burnt, the knuckle lines and finger nails are burnt.

  12. for my intarsia I use a brush on mixture of poly, tung oil, and mineral spirits. For other projects I often use spray can of clear. I like the rustoleum 2X from home depot or walmart. It covers well and 1 coat of it is really like 2 coats of others. I do have a cheap air sprayer from harbor freight I use as well for certain things, where I will spray my mixture.

  17. congrats Roly. it's great being a granddad. I have 3 granddaughters oldest 6 youngest 2 months. They are fun. The oldest one like to be in the shop with me when she is here. grandchildren are great you can spoil them, then send them home.
  18. I now use a 220 volt ceiling mounted electric heated. works great for my little shop
  19. for being your first one I think it looks great. Free handing with a router takes some practice. That how I do mine as well. Personally I like it better than templates, many more options to the style (fonts) and sizes of the letters. Stay with it.

  21. the bug first bit me about 20+ years ago when my brother in law lent me his old saw. but scrolling seriously making and selling things since 1999 so 14 years
  22. I was finally able to get this finished. The hands are avodire, robe is aspen & walnut, background is sycamore, and the frame is ambrosia maple.

  25. I don't mind the heat. we usually have 90 degree temps in the summer, it's the humidity I hate. makes it feel a lot hotter than it is.
