when I stack cut it is up to an inch I use FDSR 5 OR # 7 . These are the tow blades I use the most. When cutting my 3/4" to 1" hardwoods for my intarsia I use the FDSR 7.

I made the frame. I just cut a bigger oval then traced the outline of the cutting and cut out. The cutting fits tight inside the frame.

I made these for a lady from the city eletric dept. They have a couple linemen retiring this week after 30 + years of service. Cut from 1/4" maple and framed with 3/4" walnut
