  1. I agree with Mike. I sell by word of mouth and most of the time I do pretty well, it's enough to keep my hobby going with the supplies I need. show your work to some friends/ coworkers and go from there. word will get around and hopefully you can get a couple orders.
  2. hi Ben welcome to the village
  3. I use the ca glues mainly for my pens as a finish, thin medium and thick. I also use it in my woodworking when I want something to stay put and can't wait for regular wood glue to dry. I buy mine from http://woodenwonderstx.com/ZC_WoodenWonders/ I use medium and thick for glueing woods together. He has the best price I have found and is great to deal with.

  10. I sell 95% of the things I make, mostly my intarsia. The busiest time of course is the holidays but I still couldn't make a living strictly off my crafts. I don't do craft shows anymore and sell by word of mouth, which works very well for me. I make enough to support my hobby, by buying tools, wood, and other things I made need in my shop. so for me it will remain a hobby and not my Job. I feel when I "have to get it done" it takes the fun and enjoyment out of woodworking.
  11. looks great DW.

  21. Welcome Elizabeth. when cutting thicker wood let the blade do the cutting, don't force/push the wood into the blade. this will cause the blade to flex. We can all give you advise on how to do this and that, but the best way to learn is to practise, and practise some more. most of all just have fun. I'm sure you will get several other tips.
