  2. Very nice! Just make sure to lay down the ground rules! LOL NO HITTING, NO SWORD FIGHTING, NO POKING SOMEBODY'S EYE OUT! Thanks for sharing and God Bless! Spirithorse
  3. Great work and congratulations on your perseverence with Inkscape. As Amazing Kevin said, I find it easier to do a word pattern in a document program like word or works and have not tried Inkscape for anything. Other project patterns I make in an old Photoshop program. I haven't mastered that either but, it gets me by. Thanks for sharing and God Bless! Spirithorse
  4. Great work, Jim, I'm glad the grand-son motivated you! LOL Pricing is really tricky because every area has it's own idea about fair pricing and what someone is willing to spend. If you knew about how long you took to complete the project you could multiply the time by how much you want to be paid per hour and then add the blades, wood, paint/stain, and all other materials and add ons like electricity. Then, as Larry pointed out, you could divide that in half since you stack cut. Still comes out to a lot of money so, it just depends what people are willing to spend in your area for a remarkable piece of hand scrolled ART! Thanks for sharing and God Bless! Spirithorse
  5. Great work, Marg, I really like both projects very much. Thank you for sharing. God Bless! Spirithorse
  6. Nice work, Roly, My only suggestion would be that painting would be easier before assembly. Thanks for sharing and God Bless! Spirithorse

  12. Great work! I really love that cross! Did you bevel cut those per the instructions on the pattern or did you cut the lettering out and over-lay it? God Bless! Spirithorse

  16. I prefer to use Blue Painters Tape and spray glue the pattern to the Painter's Tape rather than use mineral spirits to remove the pattern. Maybe you can add the Blue Painter's Tape to your list. God Bless! Spirithorse

  21. I just finished these wedding plaques recently and wanted to publicly thank and acknowledge Gordster for all the help he gave me with putting the names and dates in an arc and his offer for more help if needed. 1/2" yellow pine stained golden oak with a 1/4" over-sized backer painted with acrylic craft paint. Approximately 8 1/2" x 10" Thanks again, Gordster, and God Bless! I had planned on using Oak but, was running short of time because of other plans and commitments and, when I looked through my oak, all of it had worm holes or other defects so, I planed down the pine and got to cutting. Comments welcome.
  22. Nice work, Dan, I also like your idea of the black bow-tie. Thanks for sharing and God Bless! Spirithorse
  23. Nice work, Terrylee, I have also done that pattern. It was designed by Garnet Hall if anyone cares to look up his web-site. Thanks for sharing and God Bless! Spirithorse
  24. Way to go, Marg! Great rendition of Heath. Thanks for sharing and God Bless! Spirithorse
  25. Cute, Dick, Do you have an actual pattern or drawing of one of these? I seem to recall something similar to this with a notch in it similar to a boot jack that was meant to hang a guitar from but, never gave it much thought because I would never take the chance of damaging a guitar with some unforeseen accident! Thanks for sharing and God Bless! Spirithorse
