  1. Another very nice looking acrylic cutting, how thick is the stock you are using? I've only ever cut 1/8" acrylic stock. Len
  2. Lawson, you'll find out in a hurry that fast just isn't in when cutting acrylic, the high speed creates to much heat and the plastic will just weld itself back together. When I cut any of it, I always run my saw at a slow speed. By cutting it slowly you'll get little pieces of plastic sawdust, and the edges don't usually need any work done to them. Don't stack cut plastics or acrylics, they can bond themselves together which ruins them all. I use a lot of plexiglas mirror stock for a backer on some projects, it really gives a project a different and better look. It's not all that expensive, the last 4'x8' sheet that I bought, only cost me around $50.00. Which isn't very much money, compared to how many projects you get out of the sheet. Len
  3. Nice looking pendants, I can well see why your wife would like owning them. Thanks for sharing them with us. Len
  4. Very nice TerryLee, do you make these to sell, or do you make them just for the enjoyment you get out of making them? Len
  5. Cute Gator, how many chickens do you have? Len
  6. I just started doing the drill a few holes and then cut them out, and do it all over again. I can sit at my saw for hours and not tire from doing so, so, I like to drill a lot of holes and sand the back of the piece of wood to get it ready to cut. I always start with the most difficult and delicate cuts, then move on from there cutting from the middle to the outer edges. Len
  7. Cute sign Roly, do you have one made for each type of flower you have planted? Len
  8. Nicely done John, your pyrography work really adds to the cutting, thanks for sharing this with us. Len
  9. Cute bank DW, the kid that gets it should be happy with it. Len
  10. This kinda pulls at the ole heart strings, way to go Kev, you deserve all the praise you can get. Len
  11. It doesn't look bad Kevin, we all have our off days. This is the first time I've ever seen the name spelled this way Joudy, it's usually spelled Judy. Len
  12. Good job Kevin, I only wish you could demand that she paid you the amount you asked for. She probably knows of your situation, and she's taking advantage of you. Which isn't fair, but, who says all things in life are fair. Hang in there bud, and take care. Len
  13. Gordie, you and Don make for a good team, these cuttings are super. Thanks for sharing them with us. Len
  14. Looks good Gordie, I was wondering what part of N.S. that you lived in when I saw that you were from there. I used to work all over Cape Breton, when I worked on the signal crew for C.N. Nice people there, they are all very friendly, and man do they ever love to party. Len
  15. Very nice Steve, there sure looks to be a lot of work involved in making them. Thanks for sharing them with us. Len

Nice bit of cutting Gordie, I'm watching the rain delayed Kansas race right now. Len
  17. It's better that you caught the error, then to have a customer point it out to you. Len
  18. I would worry about it letting go, because the glue on the tape never hardens. It wouldn't take much pressure to break the joint, if your depending on the finish to help hold it all together. But like the rest, I say go ahead and try it, then you can report back to us with your findings. Len
  19. Well done Frank, your mother will love it. Thanks for sharing it with us. Len
  20. Cute cutting of a cute kid Steve, you and Mahendra make a good team. Len
  21. Very nice Terry, I don't have the patience to do Intarsia, clearly you do! What's the reason for no cover plates on your electrical boxes, both the recepticle and the switch are missing their cover plates? Len
  22. Nice, but, do you know the reason that the steering is supposed to be attached to not turn? It's a safety thing, it's meant to be attached to not move so that when a child grabs it, it won't twist around when they are about to fall. I get the idea behind wanting it to turn, I was just wondering if you knew why it was meant to be non movable? Len
  23. Well Kevin, it's good to be busy, but, you have to look after your health. I hope your feeling better soon. Take care. Len
  24. Now that's something different, you should be very proud of your skills. Thanks for sharing it with us. Len
  25. Looks good Paul, but, I'd like to make one suggestion. If you were to lay the piece of wood flat on a cookie sheet, and then pour whatever your using for a finish over the top of it. You would get complete coverage, including inside all of the cuts. I suggest this, because I can see in this piece there is some wood that has no finish on it at all. Len
