Randy, another very nice piece, I laughed when I read your description on how you elongated the coin. I used to work for the railroad years ago, we would flatten and elongate coins by setting the coins on the tracks, and have the train run over them. We used them to make fishing lures out of, they made great spinners. Len

Brian, I like the flower and vase, but I really like the wife one. It's very nice looking, but it looks as if it could be quite fragile. Len

Paul, maybe your relatives were Canadian at one time, we're known for using extra letters in some of our words. There's lots of examples, but the only one I can think of right now, is the word colour. We use a U in the way we spell it, compared to the American spelling. Len

Paul, it's a very cute Nativity scene, I like how it looks made out of different types of wood. Len

MrsN, Katie, there's a nativity scene arch project, that is a Volker Arnold pattern. Right now I can't find a picture of it, but I've cut three or four of them so far, and they're beautiful. People are always are amazed with how good they look, there's five layers to the pattern. Len

Rob, I like that idea, I've done it often in the past. I did it mostly with the fall-away from the 3-D cuttings, I made of Christmas ornaments. People loved them, they were much cheaper then the actual 3-D cuttings were. Len

Wayne, with it being so colorful, it's bound to be a hit, it should draw a large bid from the bidders. Len

Rob, with only one cut, it would make for a long time without a break. Just kidding, it's a very nice cutting, I like the simplicity of it. Len

Randy, you're right, it does look to be very fragile. But it still looks good, I doubt that you would have a problem selling it. But with it being so fragile, would you want to ever sell it? Len

Todd, I love it, I would like to make one for my daughter who was very close to her grandfather. He passed away this past March, she's having a hard time with Grampie not going to be there this year. Len

It's beautiful, this is a pattern that I've always intended to cut. I never got around to cutting it, and now that I'm having eye issues, I don't know if I ever will. Len

BP, that was a good idea, but you couldn't get away with making them any width you wanted. They wouldn't work, the only way they will work properly, is if the ends are supported so that the sanding strip can't roll over. If you make them any wider then the end supports, then can bend around past the blade clamp. Len

I've always had good luck at selling owls, next to wolves they were my next best seller in birds and animal cuttings. I had two customers who expected to see a new owl or wolf cutting to sell each week. It was comical at times, each lady trying to buy something the other didn't get.Next to owls and wolves, eagles were next best in sales. Len

Scott, I like your idea, I agree, it could bring in more business. But there is a big downside that could take place also, and I hope you took it into consideration when thinking this up. I learned this lesson from experience. When I was selling my scroll work years ago, I was always trying to think of things that would boost sales also. I came up with an idea to finishing a puzzle that I had cut out,there was a prize offered for people who could complete the puzzle in a certain amount of time. There was ample interest, to much actually. Once word got out of the chance to win something, people flocked to my tables. Lots of people wanted to try, and they watched previous players to try to learn the solution. The problem with so many people being interested in trying, and not wanting to lose their spot in line. Was that there was no space left around my or my two neighbors tables, we were swamped. There was noway for an interested buyer to get close, it was my poorest day for sales ever. I felt bad that I had no sales, and I felt worse for my neighboring sales people. Not only did I mess up my sales, but I messed up their sales for the week. I only did it the one time, that's all it took for me to learn my lesson. My neighboring sales people were happy to see that it was only for one week,otherwise, they were going to ask to be moved to another position in the arena. Plus, if you do go through with this, you will need at least one if not two other people to help you out that day. You will not be able to handle the crowd, I expect you will be swamped.Good luck, I hope this goes better for you, then it did for me. Len
