  1. Too cute! Len
  2. The only time you should be using a BLO mix, is for the first application of the concoction. It helps the mix penetrate deeper into the wood, but, once the first coat has dried, you should only use regular BLO or some other sort of finish. After the first coat has dried and set up the wood, extra coats won't penetrate beyond the first coating. What your doing is trying to build up the finish, diluted finishes take a longer time or more coats to build up the finish. So, it doesn't make much sense to keep applying the diluted mixture, you would be better of applying a finish that isn't broke down/diluted. Len
  3. It looks like real fine sawdust to me. Len
  4. Dave, it all depends upon the way the pattern is glued onto the wood. Len
  5. Rick, it's gorgeous, you picked perfect segments of wood to make it with. The frame looks nice also, goes to prove you don't always need new wood. Len
  6. Monti, it is a very impressive wreath, I'd be seeing stars for a week if I cut this one out. Len
  7. Monti, your puzzles look great, will you be selling them, or, are they to be used as halloween treats? Len
  8. Rick, even with the boo-boo, it's a beautiful piece. Will you be attempting to fix it, can you fix it with a longer sock on that leg? Len
  9. Todd, pass the time? Why would you need to find something to pass the time with today, didn't you know there was eight hours of Nascar racing to watch? And if that wasn't enough, there was the formula 1 race to watch and later the Texas/Toronto baseball game. Len P.S. That is a very nice little plaque, you should be able to sell lots of them. I used to make signs like this years ago of most of the teams, they were real good sellers.
  10. Nicely done Ike, it looks real nice. Len
  11. Double post Ike, I commented on this subject in your other posting of it. Len
  12. I agree Ike, it was a good buy. Len
  13. It wouldn't work for any of my sales, it would take up way more space than is available. Plus, it would be nearly impossible to park it where it needs to be parked, because of other obstructions. Len
  14. Dave, I like both of them, why does one have to be a favorite? The painted one looks nice and christmasy, but personally, I like to be able to see the wood grain. I wonder what one would look like, if you tried staining it with a transparent stain? Len
  15. Paul, it's only a good deal, if you really need it. I don't know about you, but, I know I already own enough clutter. Len
  16. Edward, I don't know what's causing your issue, I can make sharp turns with a #3 blade. I can make a fairly sharp turn/corner with a #5 blade also, it's just that I cut in a different fashion with the larger blade. Len
  17. Nicely done Dan, I'm sure he'll appreciate getting it. Len

Randy, there's nothing I can say that's not already been said. So, thanks for sharing this with us, and keep up the good work. Len
  19. Dan, the cutting looks great, but, I think the one with the eyes looks odd, The eyes are to large, and they look to be out of place. Personally, I think if you just cut the eyes out with the scroll saw, everything would look normal. Len
  20. Randy, this is another outstanding piece, do you have a collection of them? How many do you figure you've cut so far, and which one would be your favorite subject? Len
  21. Helmut, it's an impressive cutting, the color really adds to it. Len
  22. Nicely done Marg, I can see a few hold your breath moments in this one. Len
  23. Looking good Pete, your ahead of all of us cutting these out. I haven't yet, but, I hope to get a set or two cut in time for Christmas. Len
  24. Ralph, it looks good as is, but, with a black backer it will look so much better. Len
  25. More impressive inlay work Dave, you are the master at inlay. Len
