  5. Welcome to the Village! Glad to have you here. As far as buying a scrollsaw its a matter of preference. There is a wide range of cost. Anywhere from $100.00 to several thousand! I would recommend that what ever saw you get make sure it has the following options. 1. The saw will work with plain end blades 2. The blade holder has a quick release. I have the Dewalt scroll saw and love it. I would consider that a mid level saw. The cost is around $500.00 with a stand. If you shop around you will find better prices.

  11. Things have been slow for me also. Last week I had surgery on my neck to remove 2 discs. 1 was ruptured! then they fused c5 - c8 together. I am glad I had the surgery because all my right arm pain and numbness is gone! Just went to the docs this morning and was told I dont have to wear my neck brace anymore. Now I can drive again....woo hooo. I also have been out of work since July 21st because of this and sill cannot go back until after November 17th! Hopefully today I can get back in the shop ans start cutting some puzzles. I have some orders that I have to fulfill!

  23. Yes that wood is CRAP!!!!!! I should have thought of that.....
  24. You really should not be having a problem with that blade. Are you taking your time with your cuts? Make sure you are not forcing the wood through. Let the blade do the cutting.
  25. What kind of blade are you using? I dont have a problem with the wood chipping out.
