    My saw came with an extra insert and I made a zero clearance insert from it. You could always make one from lots of materials including wood and plastic. Just make sure it fits your table well and is smooth.

    Based on their area code I think they are in Dayton, Ohio, which is about an hour away. It's funny how the folks in Canada and the UK get them faster than I do. I guess I'll send them an email and call them tomorrow. Thanks for all your feedback.

    Decided to make something for myself. I'll probably frame it at some point in time. 1/8" BB ply stained cherry.

    Has anyone ordered from this company? I ordered a few Pegas blades two weeks ago and they shipped the following day (according to their email). I still haven't seen them. I will be calling them tomorrow but wanted to see if anyone else has seen slow or no service from them. Thanks in advance.

    Awesome work! Your figures are exceptionally sharp and are perfect for the puzzle theme. Are you a member of any puzzle web sites? I know some guys that would love to see your work and share ideas.

    Glad you found a good blade. I see they are made in Germany but there is no information about the company that makes them. Just curious.

    I forgot to take out the trash. My wife asked why. I told her that my noggin lacked storage space for all this info you guys are providing. This is great stuff. There is no doubt I'll be trying Danish oil in the near future. BTW, how many Danes does it take to make a quart of oil?

    Jim, another choice is to buy a coloring book, use the outline and some features (like the eyes) to cut the shape. Then cut them into puzzles. It's easier than you would think.

    I agree with Travis. You can do a fretwork of a car and it will be hard for someone to definitely say that is a Camano, unless you use that name in the title. The same for celebrities. For all I know you made a pattern of you sister.

    I'm mentioning this because I'm not sure, but does the difference between the two methods differ for different woods? In other words, I know poplar is soft and soaks up the finishes fast and dries quickly. But what about oak or cherry? I know cherry is dense and the blo mix provides a nice sheen, but I've never tried Danish oil on cherry. Comments?

    Thanks Dick. I agree with the variables. Everyone has a different cutting style and one person can make a blade work for them and another cannot get it to work on there machine. I am a big fan of FD blades but wanted to try some others. I ordered a few Pegas MGB to try. Can't wait to get them.

    The bear and Moose are about 10 inches tall. The wolf is just over 11 inches. The dogs are about 6 inches. The bear was from a photo I took on a trip to Brooks Falls in Alaska. Thanks for all the nice words.

    After a minor (for me a major) adjustment to my saw table, I was able to crank these out in the past week. I sure hope these are sellers as I really enjoy making them. All are made from poplar, run through the sanding mop, and finished in BLO/mineral spirits.

    Mount it to a heavy stand or bench. Rubber mat between the saw and stand will absorb additional vibration. If there is an issue with the saw then I'd say take it back to the store. If you can't take it back, take your time to see if you can overcome the issue. There are a lot of folks here who have the wisdom to help.
