Thank you everyone for all the nice comments. Even though it is getting cold I am staying nice and toasty in my garage getting things done. I have managed to sell more things to people I work with than I did when I had a booth at a flea market. This is great. Mimi

Thank you everyone for all the kind words. The person that received them was really excited and she was looking forward to giving them to the families. Yes Larry it is red oak. I think that is such a nice wood to work with. it stains really well. Hope everyone had a good holiday. I know I did. and with all the bad weather moving in I am heading to garage for the most of the day. Stay safe and keep the dust flying.

Well I just finished these. Thanks Bob for the patterns I think these turned out great. I am taking them to the customer tomorrow. Working on more will post when I get those done only spend a few hours in the garage a night. I get so wore out from work. But it at least makes me feel like I am getting something done. Hey Bob Thank you for your service.I did 10 years in the Air Force also. Most of my time was spent at Cannon AFB NM. I really like the Veteran sign I have made one of those also. Hey Betty, I go through you town at least once a month heading to McGregor Tx to see my daughter.I ride amtrak from OKC I have anywhere between a 2 and 3 hour lay over at the train station. I really like all your work. I understand what you mean about the heat. It gets too hot in my garage also. I am not looking forward to the winter either but I do have a heater in my garage so that does help some. Well once again welcome and hope to see ya around. Mimi

Thank You for all the compliments . The hands is a Sue Mey pattern and the Army portrait is by Grampa. The person the Army portrait was for was amazed how well it turned out and plans on getting more done. and being a veteran my self I am proud to do them. The hands one is for someone in California. I would really like to see the look on their face when they get it but. I am sure they will like. it.

Hey Bob , Glad you are here. I used to live in New Mexico so I understand about the small towns. I lived in Clovis the next biggest town was either Amarillo Tx or Lubbock Tx. both towns were about 2 hours away. Now I live in Oklahoma so I have easier access to things. Hope you keep coming back Mimi

Mine is always calling me also. I have to say it is a good day when I get to saw. When I get home from work I go turn the heater on and eat and then get to sawing. It relaxes me enough that I can sleep well. My dogs like when I saw because then they get to come in and out as they please and they get tired also. so I guess it helps in many ways. I have not smacked anyone in a while so this is helping both my anger and my pocket. lol Hope everyone has a safe and great weekend. MImi
