  9. It all catchs up with you.Man those were the days of scroll like a fool .and on cheap scroll saws too.no wonder i went thru so many of them !I was in the scroll sawing groove ,another world ,my troubles were behind me.And i hand painted the names i gave away too over 800 names 4.5'' tall each letter 3'' wide 45 minutes a letter start to finish and triple clear coat ! 500 key chains,i was in a zone! Now i'm so backed up like i'm in reverse all the time ,i can't make head way.

  14. I have fallen asleep sitting at my saw many many times .I started out just resting my eyes for a few seconds and ended up sawing logs and counting sheep. My hands were still in position and the saw still running with blade in wood and never messed up the project. This was back in 2006 to 2012 when i'd scroll my bee hind off day and night .How long i was asleep i've no idea.HAVE YOU DONE THIS TOO?
  15. Wide toothed blades helped me a lot with 3/8" lexan The space between the teeth helps remove the cut plastic better instead of melting fine back together.
  16. The village has so much to absorb daily .I forget so much it's a shame.Guess i need a scrap book of great ideas like this.

  20. I want one ,Your on the ball with your thinking hat on ! Gives me ideas ,thanks.I'm thinking of a 20" throat drill press and this fills the bill nicely, just have to cut in down and add a 1/4 hp.electric drill, stops and a mercury switch that turns in on at a certain point coming down and make the coming down part of it foot operated.Thank you
  21. Yes allways good things come out of luis's shop.Guess that dw788 is warmed up and broken in now !
  22. And larry what is the same price you use for your portraits? One member likes to charge a dollar a cut hole, sounds fair to me ! and go up or down on how he relates to the portrait.Lots of things to concider, time spent ,cost of getting the wood cost of the wood, rent food basic labor machine repairs all get added in .
  23. Now you know your doing something right if you can please the ladys that easy.I like them as i've never seen any like that.
  24. i've transferred them from one saw to another as i wore out saws .Basically cheap saws are basically the same design.A little filing a little shimming..Parts are available for deltas and reasonable. Try replacementparts.com or similar wording of what you want to find. Our members have this address in their head so someone will chime in with what you want soon.
  25. this was no mile a minute task ! Looks like lots of scrolling fun.Bet you did it with 2 blades .Such awe inspiring project you chose.
