  2. thats as nice as can be.Maybe you'd like the rockler saw thats a jig saw upside down. i forget the correct name ,it $140 .oo dollars at the big box stores.Very differant design you came up with 10 points for that !
  3. here's some of whats in it ,been a while in storage.i see lots of others got broken from moveing, stacking, improper handleing etc.Brings back fond scrolling memories. You'st to knock these out fast when you scroll all day long.god i hope those days arn't gone yet.

  12. On that delta your going to encounter a problem .the tolerance holes are so big from the factory because you cant get the tightness need on the blade .If you can get the tightness and the hole stays the same the saws going to wear out fast .there's no way to lube the criticule points that wear out .It's the connecting link that connects the two arms in the back of the machine.i've wore out plenty of saws like this but if you don't cut 3/4" wood alot maybe you'll be ok for now.i drilled holes in the back of the machine to sray chain lube in but it didn't help 7 saws later i got a dewalt
  13. Looks like that kept you busyier scrolling additions to it.Great job eh!
  14. First thing i'd do is turn that saw around .Looks more comfortable with one leg in front. If JIM has one and loves it i'm sold.I'm leary of scroll saw with long arms on top for vibration sake.Plus one bearing or bushing for the whole top arm seems slack. But people rave about them and the life they get out of them .i've never tryed one ik think the blade changes very different to but you can get used to anything.Does sound like too fantastice a deal for the saw.500 sounds better.
  15. Best thing you ever did was find us.Anything else you want to know just ask we love questions and will answer it many ways as all roads lead to heaven lol

  18. there's always craigs list el cheapo back up saw for less than a drive for brushes and then install them.Somebody right in your town will have a delta or something that will get you thru this trouble..i have a brand new dw788 as back up i got on craigs list for 250.00 and a new dremil 1830 i just fixed after three years having the parts. always be prepared then there's the 1000 watt generator new for 150 that's quiet as a mouse .I think the scroll saws use maybe 10 watts so im good to go..If you look on craigs list type in scroll saw as two words or else you won't find anything.Give it a shot!
