  1. Great day in the sun larry, Hope you do real good with the shows. It may take time for word to get around but the shows I've looked at have nothing to compare too in scrollwork.Your time will be rewarded .Think positive always .What us scrollers do is just getting around with cnc machines but they are way over pricing their work( not that it's not worth it) but and ours is just as good or equal ,no less. I've had a guy look at my stuff and ask what cnc machine I have. You should have seen the smile he put on my face .When I told him I scroll it. He said he's done years of work for someone as a cnc operator and he can't tell the difference between my work and his.keep the faith my friend.
  2. Man if I could get off the ground even that far would inspire me to go on! looks great so far heppnerguy!
  3. All my life I've been taking the good with the bad but up in years now it's harder to do that! But your right take it slow and everything balances out some how .Count my blessings more often is what will calm me down! thanks for the support scrolles!
  4. I TRY ! I need to talk to the land lady .she drags me 7 miles across town to caulk a leaky gutter on her house .I bring the ladder and the caulk spend 5 minutes and thats all she wants to pay for 5 minutes work.Whats wrong with this picture ?this goes on to much .that's half a gallon of gas and about a 50 cent in labor at that rate.
  5. BOBSCROLL,ROLY an BIRCHBARK got me going again scrolling. Sunday I organized the wood on shelves, oak, walnut, maple, white pine, fur, aromatic cedar, cedar, plywood, teak, mahogany, etc, just to name the ones I know.I'm a finicky wood collector now.got to make some money to keep the place now.my pattern box is daily growing and is about to bulge!
  6. Ready for someone's name or some lovey dovey words on it if you chose.Great samples for craft shows or friends to see. Don't forget to stack cut to get some milage from your saw blades and have ready made stock on hand.

  9. I have one somewhere but the paint and body supply for cars sells a 1"x1" square file that looks just like and weighs as much as a metal file .it's used to trim down runs and then you polish or buff smooth. someone always has the answer that will work for you here! looks like a small rubber stamp.
  10. Great job KRIS,You know how to get it done!Just wait ,when the neighbors around there set there eye's on this one ,orders will fly in for you!

  16. THE CUSTOMER AT THE BIG BOX STORE PUT IN ANOTHER REQUEST. iT WAS FUNNY WATCHING A GROWN MAN DROOLING WHEN HE GOT EXACTLY WHAT HE WANTED.THE LAST GEM I MADE FOR HIM WAS TWO INCH LONG ,NOW HE WANTS ONE ONE INCH LONG.CAN YOU DO IT HE SAYS,YEAH BUT IT'S NOT GOING TO BE EASY.THIS TIME I WENT DOWN TO THE JEWELERS BLADE FROM MIKESWORKSHOP.COM AND USED RAPIDRESIZER TO SCALE DOWN THE IMAGE FOR ME.I GLUED THE PICTURE AND THE METAL ,LET GET TACKY AND PRESS TOGETHER.THEN I MADE A ZERO CLEARANCE HOLE ON THE DEWALT. BOY IS THIS DEWALT SHAKEY FOR BLADE WOBBLE BUT ONCE THE BLADE TOUCHS THE PROJECT TRY TO KEEP IT GOING TO CURE THAT PROBLEM.STARTING AND PULLING OUT AND RESTARTING IS NOT A GOOD IDEA WITH THE BLADE FLOPPING AROUND.IT'S TOUGH TO GET IT TO DIG IN RIGHT WHERE YOU WANT IT. tHE STOCK IS ALUMINUM 20 GA. OR THINNER.TOWARDS THE END OF THE PROJECT I HAD TO TAPE DOWN THE PIECE TO KEEP IT FROM GETTING AWAY FROM ME WHILE CUTTING.
