  3. I am new to the hobby, and did a lot of research, and I ended up buying ol' yella. I am very happy with my purchase, I a also ordered from Grizzly. I have to say, that I was amazed by the customer over at Grizzly, when you call them, you actually get a knowledgeable human. The folks there are very friendly, the light was not shipped with the saw and stand, I called them, and they said it was shipped separately and would be there the next day. to Grizzly and Ol' Yella! EDIT - Thanks to Amazingkevin - for pointing me to Grizzly! Steven
  4. I had the same issue on my Dewalt 788 - the suggestions above, resolved my issue - Mainly, I was over tightening the blade. It took a little time, adjusting the 'set" screw that takes the allen wrench, on both top and bottom. Steven

  8. Good Day Folks! Anyone use Minwax Polyshades One Step Stain & Polyurethane? If so, how did it work out for you? Any tips you can provide when using this product? I got a free can of the pecan, but have not used it yet. Thanks in advance, Steven

  16. Thanks all for the comments, you are inspiring me to keep at it! I spent the other day just practicing, printed out a page that just had various lines, curves, and shapes. I am starting to get a better feel for the saw. Steven

  19. Good Day Folks! Here is my 2nd attempt, it was a puzzle pattern, but decided just to make it has an outline. This one will go to my boys, lady friend, they have a Dachshund. I am still having trouble making the turns, but I feel I am making progress. I just used lemon oil for the finish. Steven

  22. I just picked up a cheap laptop, that has my small collection of patterns and pdf's. I plan to print them off as needed, I also have access to a photo copier.
  23. I don't plan on selling my goods, although that may change at some point. Some will be for family and friends, A lot will end up in the future train room on the walls and on the layout itself, and in my current ham (amateur radio) shack, as well as my cubicle at work Although, all this may change at anytime, due to the addictiveness of this hobby
