  5. That is an awesome job you’ve done combining intarsia with fretwork Dave. Beautiful !!
  6. Very beautiful and touching write up Richard. You are very fortunate to have a grandson to pass a family tradition onto in an age where craftsmanship today seems to hold so little interest. I consider myself fortunate to have been born at a time when life had a real meaning and value… Amen
  7. Replaced my old Craftsman bandsaw that served me well for over twenty years. Still working fine and gave it to my son. The new one is no comparison.
  8. I’ve been using a saddle stool for some time. Very comfortable keeping your back straight, stable and compact.
  9. All the best with your gallery Alex. Stay safe. This dreadful war will come to an end. Sooner than later I pray.
  10. 95% of my projects receive a minimum 4 coats of polyurethane( satin )and some up to 6 (painted or unpainted). Lightly sanding with a 1500 grit between each coat. Each coat is left to dry 1 day before applying the next. Once I’m satisfied with the number of coats I lightly sand the project with 1500 grit wet with bees wax wiping dry and polishing with a cheese cloth. The final result feels like glass to the touch. I’ve been using this process for over twenty years. Yes I know there are many other beautiful finishes but this is the one I prefer.
