  1. Trinket boxes (apple & butterfly). Pattern by Paul Meisel. Size of apple design is 2 ¼” x 3” x 1 ½”, butterfly 5” x 2 ¼” x 1 ½”. Lid slides open on a dowel. Woods used were lace wood, poplar, maple, walnut, paduak, cherry, & wedge. Inside of each flocked. Finished with clear satin polyurethane and polished with bees wax. Very easy and fun to make and best of all you get to make use of any scraps. Thank you.

  10. Amazing Kevin, my friend. How have you been? Your work is still amazing and especially the amount you do. A very Merry Christmas to you and family.
  11. Another fine piece of work Timothy. Well done.
  12. Beautiful work Larry. I love poplar. I’ve got poplar on hand that’s been aged for over 30 years. I’ll be using some of it later on for a rocking horse.
  13. Thanks Charlie. Forwarded Paul an explanation. Thank you.
  14. Thanks Paul. Cutting the paws I tilted the table to the right 2 degrees and cut counter clock wise. For the nails table was tilted to the right 1 degree and again cut counter clock wise. Then glue all pieces in and round off. Doing this process will vary according to thickness of wood so it’s best to practice on a piece of scrap first. Thank you. PS I should mention when drilling a hole for blade I used a bit just big enough for a #3 blade. Drill the hole on the line tilted to the right same angle as your table.
