Another finishing question, oil-modified wood stain?

I have used both water base and oil stains I am not crazy about the water base stain use oil with polly. finish -
I have both types ;of sanders and I prefer the Mouse over all others for this purpose, the sand paper is a little more expensive but I still prefer it

I buy all my blades at woodcrafters, they are closet to where I live and when I go there there is a fabric store and she gets her needs at that time. I use #3 for fretwork ( all Olson blades) and #5 & 7 for hard woods. don even think about big box store blades.

You are lucky you have a heated shop when it's 5* my shop is about 25* IKE

I usually plain my wood when the moisture of the wood is around 6 to 8 % then stack it flat in my wood shed over the klast 3 years i have only had one 1/4 thick board warp. you can use a moisture Gage or there is a website . just Google ( lumber weight calculator ike)

To put a new blade in the saw takes about 1 minute tops. to put the blade in a small piece of wood about 30 seconds. in a large piece about 1 minute tops.
