  6. I just start a job and when I finish it I am done. time don't matter much when this is a hobby.I am retired 81 years old and my time isn't worth anything. I just charge what the end product is worth and sell at that proce. If i get out of it more than the cost I am happy. IKE

  8. good job. I would go nuts doing the cats. IKE
  9. I have cut sseveral records. I stack ar least 2 holding them with tape useing a #3 blade of your choice brand. run it slow .I use them as Clocks. they are slow sellers, but they do sell. I have dropped them and they didn't break, They are a lot stronger than you think. Yours look good snd will sell if you make them into a clock. That is a good design for a music room or a teen agers room. IKE
  10. 1?4 Baltic berch has 5 layers of berch and what you have has 3 lalyers of wood . BB ply. is hard wood and you r 1/4 regular ply is soft.. I don't use glue or tape to hold my layers togather I use a Brad Nail gun. I use it in all major waist areas, on that size pattern there is a lot of aareas that don't have any support hich moves while you cut. The way you stack with BB ply you would probably be OK. IKE
  11. That is one pretty cat you did a good job with it. who was the designer? I love it. ike
  12. I had 2 type Dewalts and then I bought a Delta which is 100 difference in cost. I liked it better than the Dewalts and went longer with out repairs (2 T years but it was under warentee and I took it to the shop ( 60 miles aweea from home). it has been in the shop for 2 months so I claled the shop and they are still waiting on parts, so I went out and bought an Excell 21. it is slower cuttinjg but is best for Fretwork. I think both the Delta and Dewalt are over priced @ $500 and $400 If ydou can find a good higher end Saw buy it.IKE

  15. $200-$500 is a small window I would choose a Dewalt788 or Delta 964other than that there is a Porter cable. Check out the scroll saw review under the resiyurses. Home Depot has the Dewqalt 788 for $508. IKE
  16. Octoolguy The Excell is made by General international It has been around for some time and all these new sawss are made just like it. IKE
  17. Thei is the first project off new Excell 21 It's alittle slower tha my sast 2 saws Dewalt and Delta. It is reallly a better saw for fret work useing the same blades I am happy with it. It's a Russ Beard patten. useing a #5 olson Match blade
  18. I go to paxton wood cincinnat and they had some in 3/4 that's the first I ever seen it and thay said that you can use it for a finish table or such useally there 5x5 BB ply is about 220 for 1/4 and 18 for 1/8 When I go in there I feel lika a kid in the candy store. IKE

  24. I cut 6 18 BB ply and make the d1inch larger than the finish part. I use my nail gun to hold them in place useindg 5/8 brad nails also in the middle in scrap pieces. cutting the middle first and the midle naileld down till last on large pieces. I have cut large shelves 11X15 " with no problem useing a #3 or #5 blade. IKE
