  3. If you get hours out of your blades stick with them. i have tried olson's, FD' and pages and olson's match blades suit me best. I buy them by the gross and they are cheep @ about $0.25 each I usually get 30 to 45 minutes of cutting with them I was cutting the other day and my blade was dull but I only had about 10 minutes left so Idiot change the blade and that was a mistake the blade didn't break it just cut wrong and scrapped the work. don't push your blade past the dull stage it is a cheep expense IKE.
  4. I don't usually have burn marks unless i try to get more time out of my blades. I don't know why I try @ $0.25 each blade. IKE

  7. What glue are you useing? If it's Tight bond The only thing I have found is soak it in vinigar let it soak for 2 or 3 hours. I have had to soak for 6 hours. It just makes the wood gummy then you have to scrape off the glue. Sometimes it is easier to staryt over. IKE
  8. I use popular I get it at Paxton woods there is only 3 stores in the us. it is plainedd to .800 but the edges are rougn for most scrollers that don't mean anything, the price is good only $275 per board foot I get walnut for $6 per board foot and other common hard wood for $3 to $5 pr board foot. I very seldom use pine unless it is free.So I don't know much about the grains of woods. to me Popular is the way to go. ike

  13. When using a 1/116 drill I useallly peck drill that is drill a little and back odd and re drill a little deeper etc till I get thru the stock. but when putting the drill in the chuck I tighter at one hole in the chuck thane go all the way around and tightening It doesn't ffeel like you are putting any pressure on the drill but you are. I have drilled with a lot smaller drill bits than that and it works. IYou might have to clean the drill bit with your fingers. IKE

I bought it about 1964. used it for a couple of years and bought a Craftsman 16 " .That lasted about 5 years and I saw a Craftsman 21" fully assembles for $200 for about 12 years bought a cable saw which was a piece of junk . had it for a couple years and went to a Dewalt 788. had every thing wrong with 2 repairs under warente got fed up with the repairs and bought a Delta which I have used for a year with no problems except that it will not keep a constant speed, except for high speed I hope that it lase 5 years and then I will retire from scrolling at the age of 85, IKE
