I have been scrolling for about 30 years I have a DW 788 now it's my 5th saw and it's thte best I have ever owned,. If you have any questions there is some one who will answer them we seldom get stuck on a problem. IKE from Ohio.
i HAVE SCAROLLED FOR MANY YEARS AND i DON'T REMEMBER EVER USING A #9 BLADE.i USE MOSTLY #5#4 #7#3 MORE #5 THAN ANYTHING ELSE.. I USE OLSON'S HAVE FOR YEARS AND iI AM A PERSON OF HABBIT, SO I WILL KEEP USEING THEM.I HAVE TRIED THE FLYING DUTCHMANS AND I CANT TELL MUCH DIFFERENCE. I DON'T USE BOX STORE BLADES.
I buy my frames at garage sales( if I can find decent frames) also I buy them at church rummage sales.Useally at 50 cent a frame but never over 75 cents. ( if thay are decent frames) I now have 10 frames ready for pictures.
I have never used the files so I don't know anyting about them.I always use flat blades on all projects. i have ;made very complicated projects ( My tinking about complicated) I have seen some projects cut with spiral blades and they still needed sanding after the cutter got finished with them.so istick with flat blades. because I don't like sanding.
