  4. the puzzle craze continues as more and more people seem to be getting a handle on them. Nice projects and well done Dick heppnerguy
  5. Another great piece by you. I will always be amazed at the patterns you make. Once we no longer have a steady visiting family, I hope to get back into my shop. Seems like no shop time for me for quite awhile as we have not had a break from people visiting since before New Years and on into March. I still have several of your patterns in my 'waiting to do' pile, to cut. Dick heppnerguy
  6. I love how you worked in the background. It really increased the interest in the piece, as apposed to the owl on it's own Very nice. Dick heppnerguy
  7. It will be interesting to see what you might be posting in the near future. Nice job on the puzzles. Dick heppnerguy
  8. I remember how i used to check out houses for Christmas decorations that were up well after December and it is pretty amazing how long some leave them up. I can see why your ornaments are still selling. If someone had a friend that liked a particular car, they would want to buy them one for next year before they were not longer available to find Dick heppnerguy
  9. a funny one.. Well cut . should bring a lot of chuckles. Dick heppnerguy
  10. very well done. I think you have a winner with this one, for sure. Thanks for posting so others can enjoy your work as well Dick heppnerguy
  11. you keep inspiring me but I just can't get away from all the company and into my shop to cut anything, lately. Beautifully done, once more Dick heppnerguy
  12. Very nicely done. I do not understand how to paint very well, and most of the ones I do decide to paint don't seem to come out as i hoped. You sure are doing splendidly with your efforts Dick heppnerguy
  13. word art can be quite challenging but you handled it extremely well. Nice to see that you have been producing some fine pieces of art in your shop this new year, already Dick heppnerguy
  14. This should bring some interesting comments in the restaurant when people see it. Nicely done and I like the extra part on the bottom of it too Dick heppnerguy
  15. Nicely done.. I too like the top background better. Your time was well spent and to finally complete something after all that time has to be really rewarding to you, as well Dick heppnerguy
  16. I love giving away 'that special piece' that someone sees on my shop wall. I almost always take it down and give it to them. You are so right about the reaction being way more lasting and pleasing then the money you could have sold it for. this is an outstanding piece and your little additions brought out a lot of feeling in this piece. Dick heppnerguy
  17. Very well done and I like how you added your personal touch to it. You are going to be really fun to watch as you get more into scrolling. with the great creativity you put into your pieces Dick heppnerguy
  18. the translation came across quite well and I for one am really happy that you decided to join up here. I hope you continue to post often. If it is only in French, it should not be a problem as it looks like everyone was able to read your post just fine. Dick heppnerguy
  19. So happy that you found us and decided to give us a chance to show you that we are friendly, sharing, helpful to one another, encouraging and always honored to have someone pick us to share their hobby with. So welcome from Southern Arizona and I hope to see you on here often Dick heppnerguy
  20. Welcome. We missed you in our world wide family. Almost all of us, as you know, use a scroll saw and most have never even tried a hand saw fret piece. I. for one, am amazed to see the work and stick to it effort that it must be to actually cut fret without the aid of electricity. I am very anxious to see you work pieces. So glad you have come back into the village. There a nice new bunch of both new and experienced scrollers that have joined up here and brought a lot of new ideas and great work for all of us to enjoy and to learn from. Hope you log on often so we all can get to know each other better Dick heppnerguy
  21. Gary, You sure have developed into quite the scroller. Where did you find this pattern. I have a neighbor who is a big Sinatra fan and I would love to cut this one for him. I have been searching for a good Sinatra pattern for a long time and could not find one Dick heppnerguy
  22. a very nice cut. I always enjoy your posts, Peter, as all are so nicely done. One question for you. I see what appears to be some kind of nails in the corners, appearing to hold the front and backer boards together. Could you explain what you use for that and do you also use glue? Also what thicknesses are your two boards? Dick heppnerguy
  23. I think we all feel that way about the site. Travis and each other's helpful attitude here. That is why we consider ourselves as FAMILY. Glad you are now a part of this world wide family too Dick heppnerguy
  24. I thought you might find this link rather interesting. take a look Dick heppnerguy
  25. That is an amazing project. Not something that I would have thought would interest a woman though. I am wrong so much of the time I am starting to question precepts more and more. I guess getting old makes things a little more hard to grasp. That's my story and I'm sticking to it Dick heppnerguy
