  4. Very nicely done and original pattern on top of it. Way to go Dick heppnerguy
  5. Steve sure has contributed a lot to the scrolling world. He has made so many patterns and helped so many of us to get started with our scrolling endeavor. I go through his older patterns often and seem to be finding more and more that I must have overlooked also Dick heppnerguy
  6. your new endeavor should be adding a lot of new interest in your scrolling life. I started with intarsia and sort of got tired of how long it takes to make a piece and started doing scrolling instead. I still do one now and then but I enjoy scrolling more. This gives you a little bit of a new interest and my change did for me and doing new things often helps to inspire someone. Nice little piece. It looks really good. As you continue to do intarsia, you should find out that some parts get a little easier as you go along, you know, like it does with scrolling. Keep knocking out these and posting them for all of us to enjoy. It makes me want to do a little more intarsia, just for a little change of pace. Thanks for the reminder Dick heppnerguy
  7. Again a rather simple piece but one I have made before and have always enjoyed it. This is a Sue Mey pattern. I have quite a few of her patterns and I really like her style. It was an easy cut but looks great on the wall. Starting the next request piece tomorrow. Dick heppnerguy
  8. a one of a kind project that his family will always cherish. Beautiful and loving piece Dick heppnerguy
  9. Once a Duke fan always a Duke fan. He will really enjoy looking at this on it's special place on his wall. Nice job. Hope to see you cut more portraits Dick heppnerguy
  10. you are knocking them out. Practice is natural when you are a scroller as all projects are practice because we all quickly understand that we are always learning. Dick heppnerguy
  11. Very nice piece. Great wood choices and the caring person you obviously are, only made it one step better. I guess you put into it, a real loving touch. God works in what seems like strange ways sometimes. He got you thinking about a particular woman and she was the one who asked for it. What a wonderful story. I bet you are not 'a little down', now Dick heppnerguy
  12. The inlay master does what is amazing, once more. Really a great and creative piece. I love your uniqueness and ability to keep coming up with another one of a kind creation. love it Dick heppnerguy
  13. I had tried that and that did not work for me either. Fab 4's link did the trick, not sure why, it just did Dick heppnerguy

  17. I had a cousin visiting us a few weeks ago and she left with a few requests. I have this one finished and although it is a simple Steve Good pattern, she thought it perfect for her daughter who has many chickens. So here it is. I have an order for several other items so I will follow with them as they get completed. It is so good to be working in my shop once more Dick heppnerguy

  23. My Canadian neighbor will be heading back home also, in about a month. I still hope you might decide to come to the Phoenix area next winter. It would be great to meet you and spend some time on the scroll saw together. Nice project. I have not paid much attention to the penny drop pattern but might give it a look once more Dick heppner guy
  24. Having a young person who has found something that interests them, after seeing you do it and is willing to sit down and give it a shot, has to be really rewarding to both of you. Way to go, Ralph. I think you will be sharing your shop with her a few times this coming summer Dick heppnerguy
  25. looks like you have everything in place. Extremely nice work. Scrolling is a craft where one can progress quite quickly, if their attention is focused and one continues to strive for perfection. I would have to say, after viewing your work, that you certainly have been using your scroll saw a lot and I would say you have also already been challenging yourself on a regular basis. Keep up the good work. If I was going to suggest anything for you after you said you wish to be challenged I guess about to only challenges for you would be to search out patterns that look almost impossible and take it on. I believe you can probably scroll anything you see already Dick heppnerguy
