Here are a couple of items i cut this week. Not a lot of time in the shop for now but I have gotten some. Here are the last two items I made. The Greyhound bus is one that I cut for myself about a year ago and have it hanging on my shop wall. It is a Sam Custodio pattern and my son made a comment that it was one of his favorite pieces, I have made. Well his birthday is in a couple of weeks, so I cut this one for him as an add on gift.
The plaque. a lot of you will recognize as a Steve Good pattern and I choose to make this one for my wife for an Easter gift. I knew she would enjoy this one.
So here is my contributions for now. I am working on a couple of other projects and will be posting them in the next few days. So you see, I am still alive and well.

I cut this one just to give intarsia a try once more. I used to do only intarsia but got tired of them. It looks like I am losing some of my skills from being away from it so long so I might try a couple more to see if I can get back into the groove.

I decided to try another intarsia project. This one I have made 3 other times and I have sort of left my intarsia projects way behind me and concentrated on scrolling. I guess, as I age, I only seem to get more and more out of touch with my abilities. This is a pattern I purchased from JGR several years ago. I just needed something to do in the shop and I asked my wife if she would like one of these and she said she would. I used several kinds of wood on the but I have to admit that I stained the man's hair but the rest is natural.

you are so right about that. I thought I had patience but I wouldn't even want to try what this guy is doing. I will leave having this much patience to him and the doctors

Anyone can make perfect things with a laser but only a dedicated person can make beautiful things by hand. If it was all about selling things for the money, then who cares. I don't do craft shows because, for me, it looses the feeling of gratification when I am asked to make something for someone, because they have seen what I have made and would like to have one for themselves or a friend. Luckily for me, they are not into scrolling themselves so they aren't able to compare my mediocre work with that of such great scrollers like we have here in The Village

It was a very interesting video and he mentioned that he no longer uses regular matches. I would thing a match manufacturer would want to purchase one of his items and display it in their office. Have you gone there and seen it in person?

My youngest daughter got married last month and my wife reminded me that I had not made them a wedding plaque. OH, my. I went to the computer and pulled up this Sue Mey pattern and went to my shop and put it in my 'top priority' projects. I got it mailed off this morning. So glad my wife reminded me when she did

Nice job.. I have a neighbor who owns a Vette and I know he would like this one too. I just might check out Sam's page and download it. Be sure and let Sam know you made it and send him a photo of it. He likes to post them when someone cuts one of his patterns

I am so glad you can still sit long enough at your scroll saw and able to come up with such nice projects. This one is amazing, I love it

I always enjoy seeing your cuttings. You have a unique way of framing them and that is also one of the things that I look forward to seeing what you are going to do next, in that department

great pieces. I am glad you showed the finished ones as the first photos did not have enough contrast in the background to be able to understand how really good they are.
