  1. Wayne....I use Rapid Resizer and it does work for enlarging and shrinking patterns. It works pretty well, but the quality loses something if you go up in size, quite a bit. I have used a marker to get the results I am after and it worked out well for me.....good luck..
  2. I go by the name of Heppnerguy because I live in a small eastern Oregon town of Heppner. I started scrolling last March and ave made many things, mostly for gifts. I was on this web-sight several months ago and in fact, purchased a CD about sawing portraits. I finished my first on about 3 weeks ago and I was pleased with the out come. I scrolled my grand daughter. I am about to scroll another of one of my grandsons..I have the pattern made and should be able to do it later this week. I am retired and I have found that scrolling is something I can do daily, if I get my way. I made a lot of Christmas gifts this year and they appeared to all be enjoyed by the people receiving them. I also sent a Marine emblem to a friend in Afghanistan. I have started to make some of my own patterns now...HI to all of you at Scroll saw Village.
  3. Hi Chuck, Since I am new to scrolling, I am anxious to find websights such as this one. I have been scrolling for 1 month now and have made several pieces. I also do Intarsia but I like the quick rewards given through scrolling...hope to see some of your work here, soon. Since I too live in Oregon, perhaps our paths will cross some day. Richard
  4. I have been scrolling for about a month and enjoy it a lot. I started be scrolling names and since have made portraits, boxes, several wall hangings and continue to attempt more difficult things almost daily. I was surprised and delighted at the results I have been able to achieve. I previously did some Intarsia and liked the results but I really like scrolling better because the time it takes to make an item is so much more satisfying to me. I think that as I increase my skills, the time needed for completing an item will also increase, but right now I am loving it. I am anxious to make a scoll clock as soon as I can get the money for a pattern.
