    I scrolled for around two hours last evening with the valve open, no bucket collapse and every thing else seemed to work fine.. This is with the DustStopper on. Today I will put the DustDeputy back on and see what happens..

    Holy cow they are all beautiful!! The sea shells, is that Spirals by Steve methods. I have followed him for some time, have all his info and built his table saw jig... Just watching and looking for the time I can afford a vacuum pump for the jig.... If that is where you got the info for those I may be messaging you for advice.... That Mustang and the steer scull ,,,,,,, wow,,, super wow! Of course the sea shells..... wow, wow..

    Okay, BUT, if the bucket is in side a bucket,,,,, how do you know it is not collapsing....? My real fear is not the bucket collapsing, but what it may or may not be doing to my dust extractor (vacuum). I do not know.

    Well the bucket will start collapsing. But I really thought with this valve open, I would loose my dust collecting, but does not appear to be the case...

    I was in a Ranch and Home store (I love Ranch and Home but it is local) looking for something I could not find, they let me down, but I did for kicks buy a 3/4" PVC valve and a "T" for less than $3. I hooked it inline with my dust collection and the results were a little surprising to me. With it almost wide open the bucket so far is not collapsing. But more surprising, the air noise is no louder that I can notice, and the suction at the scroll saw does not seem to be reduced any, that I can tell... Not sure why I added that little section of PVC pipe coming out of the valve..... it must be serving some purpose......

    Does look good. I paid about that much and mine I have to heat with a torch! I have to experiment with it every time I use it to get the right temp. I finally, one day, branded a piece of veneer about 10 times and then cut the veneer nicely on pieces. I epoxy the branded veneer on to the project some where.

    I would not go to so much effort to do that of a celebrity but I love the concept and you did an amazing job with it. I would love to have patterns like that for portraits of family or my dogs. It is really neat.

    I really started enjoying and improving my scrolling after someone one here gave me this advice.... so simple.... "relax, drop your shoulders and breath normal." It worked for me... Thank you, whomever wrote that several years ago.

    I'm prepared also, I read, I think on here, so it has to be true, that alcohol kills the virus, so I picked up a bottle of Jameson at the store today. At least if I get the virus,,,, I may not care.

    I have a Hegner and a Seyco, use to have an Excalibur. The Hegner is by far my favorite saw,,,, but like Kevin stated many like and many don't like therefore I do not recommend them. I would suggest before investing in one, if possible test run one. Even that is not full proof, because it took me a while to get use to mine. I also agree that I would, unless you can find a good used Excalibur, I think I would feel more comfortable with Pegas or Seyco. Well for that matter, I have read pretty good comments about the King saw.
