I like these, but anyone that has owned a Dobie, knows that he/she does not own you he/s lives to serve you....least that was my experience with them. The Standard Poodle,,,, on the other hand, yes, we are definitely owned by one as well as she owns the other cat and dog also,,,, in fact she thinks she owns the whole neighborhood!!!!!!

You really did a nice job on those. I ended up making 4 of those. Sold 3 and donated on to a local pistol shooting club. Two of them went to New York,,,, !

If you are making a detail fret work box, clock, or something similar, it will not fit together.......

Mike, I know the beautiful pictures you make, and I been inspired to try some just because yours looked so good. Don't change a thing you do. It is your way. I also try to cut everything as close to the pattern as I can. Sometimes I get off a little, that is okay, but I do try to stay with the pattern. Just the way I am,,, I would not be happy if I didn't. I agree most people would not know if you cut online all the time, but I know when I don't.

You did a very nice job on that birdhouse. I saved that pattern some time ago and hope to one day make it.

I have my Seyco mounted on an enclosed cabinet. I have never noticed anything rattling inside the cabinet. I can't say about vibration, I have never had it on another cabinet so nothing to compare it with. One thing I do have is a 60 lb. bag of concrete mix in the very bottom of the cabinet. My Hegner is mounted on a Hegner stand and it has sweet spots that it likes to run. Fortunately for me, those sweet spots are right at the speeds I like to cut. Every saw I has had had "sweet" spots that they ran the smoothest.

Okay, let's knock off the beard comments. What is wrong with a beard?? All men had them until some dumba** invented a razor. I have had a beard since 1967 with no regets.... I suppose you shave your arm pits also.....

Cheating?!,,,, I would bet maybe Tony, thinks all of us using fancy electric scroll saws, with variable speed, quick change clamps, stay up top arms...etc.,,, are the ones cheating,,,,

I'm almost at a loss for words! That is an amazingly difficult portrait to cut even with a scroll saw. With a fretsaw,,,,,, WOW!! Very nice work. A real treasure.

I think if there are places where the pattern could be sectioned, I would then do it in sections, if I did not like spiral blades. But I do like spiral blades so I use them. Coming at the pattern at different sides/angles helps on some, but if you have to do a lot of turning,,, it is sometimes impossible.

I've used print shops like at Office Depot when I have a paper copy of a big pattern, and usually have multiple copies printed so I can keep the original, and have copies to work from and copies on file. I do not know if I can copy a pattern that I have on the computer to a disc or ,,,, awe shot, my mind went blank, what do you call those little things you plug into your computer,,, ah USB? and take it to a print shop to get it printed.... I would like to be able to do that as opposed to cutting and pasting patterns together like I do now... Guess I will ask next time I go to one of the print shop... Getting printed copies is real cheap.

I really don't care much for the "MG" blades... I know, I am weird. I much prefer their Reverse skip #3R blades. But that is me, I do not care for aggressive blades. But I have never cut 5 layers of 1/8" BB either. Max I have cut is 3 layers of 1/8". If you would stop by,,,, I would give you some of the #3Rs I use and you could compare. You may need go to a larger # to cut 5/8th. This is "if you would stop by"..... If not,,, suffer..
