  1. Today I finish a project. After thinking I am done, I thought of another branch of the service that was represented in my family. I remembered my brother-in-law was in the Air Force. So I may do one for him. I already showed the one for me USMC. My older brother received a draft notice just as I was finishing my enlistment in the Marines, so he went and joined the Army and my son, since he was around 12 years old had the goal of flying fighter jets. He never varied from that goal.. and did just that. Retired as an F-18 Superhornet, and Navy Combat pilot. He will never understand how proud I am of him for his accomplishments. I made these and will get them sent to them after this virus war is over..... Mine: My Brother"s: My Son's:
  2. My Hegner is mounted on a Hegner stand. It has certain speeds that if vibrates at and sweet spots where it runs very smooth. In my case it could be the floor not being perfectly even or something (cement floor). I have never worried or fussed with it because the places where it runs the smoothest are the speeds I like to use. My Seyco sits on a homemade cabinet. Like Ray stated, I have a 60 lb. bag of cement in the bottom of it. It help reduce vibration quite a bit. Maybe I am too tolerant of some vibration but to me any machine as light as a scroll saw that has a couple arms going up and down very fast will have some vibration...
  3. Nice work. When you say bend at the clamp area do you mean the "hocky stick" bend? I have a gross of FD 3/0 spirals that do that no matter which saw I use them on. I have come to the conclusion there is something wrong with the blades. I have used those blades for years and only occasionally would have one bend, this back over 90% have. Maybe they go twisted wrong so something.
  4. Nice work. I bet the CNC is fun to play with.
  5. I have not modified my Hegner,,,, other than put a Masonite tabletop on it to give me the availability to easily have a little bigger table top, I have not changed anything. I love mine the way it is.
  6. Doug, welcome. Just some advice, it is not wise to use your email address as your user name, nor to post your email address in a thread on the forum. You open yourself up to receiving lots of spam and maybe computer virus's. I would strongly suggest you message @Travis to see if it can be changed....
  7. Welcome to the Village. Don't hesitate to ask questions and there is also lots of info in the Resources section.
  8. @octoolguy Ray,,,, you suck!! Change your name to "Old Eagle Eye". I will never post a picture here again,,,, without looking over my shoulder to see if you have your magnifying glass out......

  13. Glad you are hear and it is looking like you are getting info on you problem.. I would suggest that you not use your email address as a username, it that is your email address. You could be increasing your chances of getting lot of spam and maybe computer viruses. If it is yours I would get a hold of @Travis (Travis) the head honcho here and ask him to change. Message him... maybe

  17. You did it justice.....
  18. Jay, some time get a pack of Pegas 2/0 spirals. Their size seems to be just between the FD 3/0 and 2/0. At least that is how they feel to me. Since I tried them, my go to spirals are Pegas 2/0 most used and FD 3/0 for smallest used.
  19. Good job and great story. Next on up for him should be this one, I did it for my nephew's shop some time ago. He and his dad do the car thing...
