  1. So glad to have you join us. I have made a couple things using patterns I purchased from Spain. Have many more of his patterns. Unfortunately he hasn't responded to recent email, I hope all is okay with him. His site is: www.finescrollsaw.com. What kind of a clock do you want to make. I just started one called the Bell Tower Clock. There are a couple people here that have made it. Another scroller started a thread recently on making a wooden gear clock. And there are many here that make other kinds of clocks.
  2. WOW! You really stepped up you game. Great job. Great picture.

    Veining Tips

The best method for me is to cut the vein with a small flat blade first. Then I go back over it with a Flying Dutchman 3/0 New Spiral Blade. This make a nice clean vein just the right width.
  5. Holy cow Dick, that looks great!!! I really think you have this pretty well figured out. Looking forward to lessons next Summer!
  6. I wonder if they are phasing out the Original stuff to go with the Latex . Everywhere I looked the solvent for the "original" was discontinued. Have you ever tried the latex type? I'm wondering what kind of solvent would work with the original,,, maybe mineral spirits..
  7. Also check out "Resources" tab, drop down "Pattern Shops".
  8. @Dave Monk, what is the shelf life of the Famowood? Every time I buy a wood filler of some kind, I get to use it once, next time I try to use it it is dried up. I might have to try this brand.
  9. Nice idea, nice work.
  10. You must be wanting to buy a new tool or something!! Building up brownie points... Very nice piece...
  11. I have one only different brand. It was given to me, thought I would never use it, but it cuts 3/4" Baltic Birch Plywood easier and cleaned than my bigger circular saw and I seem to be able to cut straighter with it.
  12. I have two scroll saws, one band saw, guess I don't need one.
  13. Another very well done one. you have been busy. I also really like Mike Williams patterns and Alex Fox has many nice ones.
  14. Very well done.
  15. Most of all welcome to the forum. Hope you stay and let us get to know you. If you are sawing MDF, please have good dust control. Not at all good to breath that dust.
  16. Welcome to the forum. You may be our first member from Korea. Always nice to have members from different countries. We learn so much from each other. I have a beautiful leather bomber coat from Korea. My son had it made for me when he was visiting there once.
  17. Sorry, heck if I know.....
  18. Very well done. Great selection of woods.
  19. I have one comment: beautiful!
  20. Seems like for those of us that don't know how to do patterns, there are lots of free stain glass patterns that would work well for this type of art. I really like what you are doing here, Dick.
  21. You do super work, Dave. Those are beautiful.
  22. "The Guardian", I know that one. Great job, Gator. You once wrote that we seem to like a lot of the same patterns, I think you were correct.
  23. Merlin, so good to see you post. You are surely missed on here. When I saw that part that was my first thought, made on a 3D printer. Wish I had the printer and the smarts.
  24. Ever hear of Rude Goldberg? Well if it works, who cares.... I'm kinda surprised it doesn't jump out of the clip thingy.
  25. I agree, great work on picture, pattern and the final results.
