  1. Lucky you, for sure. You should use some of it to make the giver a little something, to thank him. Let him see what you can do with it.
  2. Very well cut.
  3. Those are all beautiful. Very nice cutting and displaying. I have done #4 a couple times. Would like to do some of the others. I am kinda the same way about nativity pieces. Done a couple and have collected patterns for others.
  4. Great cutting, Dick. Very nice.
  5. Looks great, and some very clean cutting!
  6. The smallest brad point is probably the 3mm, which I guess is a hair smaller than 1/8". The reason I mentioned them is when I was cutting out the parts for a wooden gear clock, I needed some precise holes in several places. I started buying good Brad Point bits, from Lee Valley, buying individual bits of the size needed. Now I add to that collection from time to time. If you get into things that work with gears, like the clock, robots, etc. you will need to have some good bits to drill the holes in the wood.
  7. Waste board underneath and good brad point bits.
  8. Strange, to view the images, I had to right click on them then select view image. They open and stayed in the post open after that. Never had to do that before....
  9. I clicked on the link and came across an ad for some kind of mobile phone! Guess my computer can't read Russian. The .jpg's didn't show for me either..
  10. Great work, Dick. That Canadian is really beautiful, both neighbors are going to be very pleased!
  11. Very well done! Very delicate.
  12. Welcome to the forum. I use to be a turner, now my lathe runs my Mac Mops for sanding scroll pieces...
  13. Welcome to the village. Your are the only one with that saw, that I know of. Please let us know how you get along with it. There has been little discussion about them.
  14. Look very nice. These bowls attract lots of attention.
  15. Very nice cutting, Jason. Ya, more wood and time.... blades I buy by the gross!
  16. Just my 2 cents and not worth even that, but I think a lot of the turn off on these saws is the belt changing speed control. I say this because I purchased a Nova wood lathe that speed control was done by changing the belt. I never had a problem with it and never had any expensive repairs because of problems with a VS control unit going bad. I did have trouble selling it, because the belt changing was a turn off to most people. Would not bother me, especially on a scroll saw because I do not change speeds often. They are built to have the belt changed and it is quick and easy. And I know it is hard to believe, but I could be wrong......
  17. Welcome to the forum. Glad you are joining in. If you want to learn pattern making there are good tutorials in the "Articles" section under the "Resources" tab about using Gimp and Inkscape. Lots of Youtube videos also.

  19. They really look nice.
  20. Nice to have you move into the neighborhood.
  21. Very obvious you are not new to scrolling. Great cuttings.
