  1. Brad, I sincerely wish and pray for a speedy recovery for both you and your wife.
  2. Well, just to throw some mud in the water, I have been using 3M77 since I started scrolling. But a couple weeks ago I was buying a few supplies and was going to buy more 3M77. While standing in front of the Adhesives, I see a can of 3M45. I remember Iggy once saying that is his go to spray adhesive, so I thought good enough for Iggy I will give it a try. Now I have only used it on two pieces so far, but enough to know it works as good as 3M77, and there is a maybe better. Time will tell. But if at the least, it works as good it is somewhat cheaper, and I would be happy with just that. It is certainly not as messy as 3M77 either.
  3. I don't have any scrap wood. I burn scraps. I do have a huge amount of "someday I may need that piece" wood!
  4. They are cute. I never quite understood then as Christmas ornaments, other than they were cute. This I really like and think they will be a great hit.
  5. This posting has been deleted by its author. Must have sold already.
  6. Only drawbacks I see to that one, no front tension release and single speed, I think.
  7. Nice work. That napkin holder and trivets are beautiful.
  8. Nice cut and beautiful piece of wood.
  9. Well Travis, turned the guilt on me so I decided to try something for mamma. Decided I have never tried any type of jewelry so maybe a pendant would be fun. Here are two attempts (the best out of 6). I'm having trouble with air bubbles in the epoxy. I just using 15 minute epoxy and it is really two thick. I do have one more drying that I thinned with acetone, if it tries, it may be better. Anyway, my wife wouldn't wear anything like this anyway, may put it on her key chain or something.. I'm really just having fun.
  10. Those are nice. I especially like the raccoon hanging there. They are fun to watch, even if they killed all my chickens!
  11. Have had one for my big dust collector for years. They make life so much easier.
  12. No doubt the Festool is probably top of the line, I don't know but I went just a little cheaper and purchased a Fein. They happen to have a good sale going on right now. I am very happy with mine. The air sucking into my collection pipes/nozzles is louder than the dust extractor. https://feintools-online.com/fein-dust-extractors.html
  13. I do not own a Hawk, but I have followed and read about them for years. Hope to find the perfect deal for me someday. I have read about the lower clamp and people making their own. I think Steve Good may sell one or have an article on making the. I also think Rolf has done something with his. You might email him and ask. I do ask, if you are making some, why out of aluminum? I hate steel things screwed into aluminum.
  14. I really think you are asking a unanswerable question. What makes it worth it to me may mean nothing to you, and vice versa.
  15. You are correct, well look great hanging in a man cave. You will especially like it knowing you made it.
  16. Great job. I don't even know who the Eagles are playing, but still a great job...
  17. Really turn out nice. They will sell good.
  18. Those are great. I use to have to leave the house when my Dad cooked crabs we caught. Throw them in boiling water alive. I swear I could hear them,,,"Help me! help me!!"
  19. Hang on to those, you will want to compare as you go. Nice work.
  20. That is a case where one may be too many!!!! Just kidding, just kidding....
  21. I think the only thing better than having two saws would be to have three! If I ever come across a RBI that is a great buy, I will own it! Then I like to have at least 3 drill presses each with a different size bit in it..... than, I hate changing blades on a band saw, maybe several of those also....You just cannot have too many tools....
  22. Had to laugh at that one. In description says "long blade life" yet he displays it with a broken blade. But ya, if I live reasonably close, I'd go have a look.
  23. I can not speak for RBI, I have never sat at one. I do have a Hegner. I also have a Seyco. It took me some time to get along with the Hegner after I purchased it. I mean several months before I was really comfortable with it, as I was with my previous Excalibur and now my Seyco. The tensioning is very important. Not set right you break blades... often. That said, I am totally "at peace" with my Heg now and it is my "go to, and if I could only have one saw" saw. Will it so things the Ex wouldn't, no, does it cut better, ,, no. It will be around after the Ex/Seyco is dead and buried, I think, but I won't be around long enough to bury my Seyco either.... I just like the Hegner, it runs great, quieter than the Ex/Seyco even, and I worry not about stripping the threads on the clamps or spreading the clamps from aluminum fatigue. I put a few drops of oil on the bushing occasionally and scroll on. If something does break, I know I can repair it, although the parts are very expensive. Now none of this will probably help you in a decision, and I really don't want to. Saws are a personal preference IMHO, and what I like other may fine not so wonderful.
  24. I use the "dead man" style. Actually have never tried an "off/on" one. If I stood up to scroll, I can see where the off/on would work better. I may have to get one and try it. I always figured I may not be able to locate the off/on switch with my foot, and I don't want to have to look away from my work with the saw running in a delicate area. Maybe that is not a problem.
  25. Great job. Marg. Very well done,
