  1. He did a great job on the pattern, you did a great job on the cutting and finishing. A+
  2. To be a Supporter you have to go to the Store which is in the "More" drop down menu. However, I think I am finding out that if you are already a "Supporter" you can't get to it that way.... least all I get clicking the store are info about my past orders. Anyway here is a link to get to the spot to purchase a "Supporter Badge" http://www.scrollsawvillage.com/store/product/2-ssv-supporter/
  3. It is and ain't it pretty cigar box...
  4. When I do delicate pictures I need a zero clearance table top. In the past I have made a 1/8" table top to put on my Ex with a little hole drilled in it for the blade and "zero" clearance. Over time the hole get bigger and bigger until there is no more zero clearance. When that happened I made a new table top. Last night it hit me, like duh, why replace the whole table top. Why not just drill a larger hole, make an insert kinda like my Hagner has. Here it is, took me about 15 minutes and I can easily make a supply of inserts to replace worn out ones. So simple.
  5. Click on you username at the top right corner on this page In the drop down menu click "Settings" On the left side of the screen that appears under "Overview" click "Signature" Keyin what you want as a signature and save And Travis can type faster than I can!!
  6. Those really look great. Hope you made a lot of extras, you will have to supply the whole school.
  7. Those look mighty nice.
  8. Well that just stinks!!!
  9. Well, Christian, I certainly agree that some people want to stay anonymous, and that is their right. I disagree that that is whole point of a forum. In my opinion, the whole point of a forum is to have a place where people from all over the world that have like interests can gather and discuss and share. Whether they are anonymous or not is of no consequence.
  10. Very nice little gaggle of dragons.
  11. Don, great minds as they say. I did this on my saw just two weeks ago. I don't know why I waited to long to do it. Catches the saw dust that use to end up on my pants, slippers (I wear slippers more than shoes), floor and my foot pedal. It also catches the little cut off that use to end up on the floor. The ones that stay on the table top I use to try to toss the in the garbage can, but missed 90% of time so they were all over the floor. Now I just drop them in the box with the broken and use blades. If you wand a nicer box go to a cigar store and check, may give you a few or sell them cheap. I us that because I have around 30 left from my cigar box guitar making days. Maybe mine was the one you saw on a saw.....
  12. Well another Texan in our village. That is a good thing. Glad you joined us. Looking forward to seeing some of your projects.

    New Box

    Well done, sir.
  14. You don't have to call them "hey you" you can call them by their user name. Some people just are private and that should be their choice, which it is. But if they list it in their profile, and their profile is not blocked I don't see why they wouldn't put it in their signature. Their choice.
  15. Like the man said you did a great job all the way around. Really an A+.
  16. Really nice work. I agree with Dave, the matting and framing just doubled the price. What kind of matting cutter do you use?
  17. That looks just plain mean!! Great job. Was the record actually that color? I have several that are that color. Not scrolled they are worth around $180 each..... Just kidding, but wish I wasn't. One of mine has "Spunky the Monkey" on it. "I want to see the big wild world, I doodly doodly do!" Ever heard of that one!
  18. My honest opinion,,,,, the Cubs got lucky.... Just kidding, I don't even follow baseball. Great job on the plaques.
  19. Darn, Dave, if I lived close to you, I'd make you teach me how to scroll letters so beautifully! They are all very well cut and with you talent on finishing, I Don't know if it could be beat. Do you have a CNC router hidden somewhere you are not telling us about?
  20. Love it!!
  21. Click on "Forums" tab at the top of the page....
  22. Well, now you put me on the spot. I have never made a bookmark in my life! Just thought it sounded good. But,, if I did I would try 1/16" material. It that didn't work, 1/8". I don't know how thin you can do the "clay" stuff, I have never worked with it.
  23. I have a great one and worth every penny I paid for it. It has two things important to me that make it so good. High quality glass lens and LED lighting (I hate fluorescent lights). Got mine from here http://www.globalindustrial.com/p/office-school-supply/accessories-furnishings/desk-lamps/8-diopter-led-magnifying-lamp-with-covered-metal-arm-white Least I'm pretty sure that is the one I purchased. It was a while ago. Great place to do business, I have purchased several things from them, never had any problems. I did receive a stool to sit on when sawing that was missing the ring that you rest your feet on. I called and ask if they would send me the part. No problem, they shipped it the same day priority mail, I had it in 2 days, not only the ring but the whole unit it was attached to, hydraulic tube and all. So I have extra spare parts now. If you are not as old and blind as me and do not need a magnifying lens, ignore this post....
  24. That is a great one. Have you seen the ones another member here did? I ran across it a couple days ago when just looking through peoples galleries. Might be something to try' http://www.scrollsawvillage.com/profile/31700-ratoskis/content/?type=gallery_image
