My nephew has brought me quit a bit of wood over the years, in the form of old headboards from beds, shelving, some cabinets. all things he has found very cheap or free at yard sales. I still have some beautiful mahogany from one bookshelf he brought to me. Also check Habitat for Humanity stores. Not free wood but very cheap.

I'm with Al on this. I do all kinds of fretwork with my Hegner. My EXcalibur also has the tension knob in the back and a tension release in the front, and I do fretwork with it. Both work fine. Hey Charles does all his fretwork with a Hegner. And if I could only keep one of the saws I would keep the Hegner. of the reasons Jim says, they are durable and I'm sure my daughter will enjoy it long after I am gone.

That is beautiful, and very well cut. If you sell them might be good to do a sample one with initials in it, then charge extra for the initials they want.

Terry, be sure and look through the Animal section of the patterns here at Scroll Saw Village. Some very nice horse pattern there, for all level of expertise. May be some in the "New Patterns" section also. The quality of free patterns here always amaze me. Some very generous pattern makers here.

This is along the lines I have been thinking about. May have to do some experimenting.

Interesting. Do you use a hold down? Most, including myself. remove that. I can see where it would be nice to have the upper arm raise a little more. I added the "Quick Clamp" to mine. I love that. Wouldn't be with out it. I keep trying to figure a way to and an auxiliary table on mine to have a larger table. I want it to be easy to take on an off. I will come up with something some day.

I thought that was "Fix Or Repair Daily" Although in '93 I had to switch to GM because my Nephew said he would not work on Fords. I still miss my Fords. I also found a Ford motor in a sports car I owned. Sunbean Tiger with the Ford 360 in it. It was a great car. Very nice work on the toys Al. They will be greatly appreciated.

very interesting. Job well done. I like the variable speed control also. There are many time I wish I could vary the speed on my belt and disk sanders. I have Stumpynub's plans, maybe I will get brave enough to try it someday.

That is a beauty. I'd love to have a find like that. Bet it still works well. Looks like it takes longer than a 5 inch blade.

I think I read in one of the other forum related to the upgrade. I think the answer was no. They cycle out by themselves. Found it: "I don't think you can delete them. I think they just cycle through now. So new notifications push off the old ones. When you click the Notification's button, you should see the newest ones at the top. Once you look, the pink button with the number should disappear. Let me know if that's not working for you."
