  1. Darn computers. Always something... Glad you both are back.
  2. Very different and very beautiful!
  3. There is a video of how it works here: http://posterazor.sourceforge.net/
  4. Both are very nice. Your nieces granddaughter will be drumming up business for you when she displays that sign.
  5. Looks great.
  6. Well that time away didn't affect your ability to scroll. Nice work.
  7. My guess as to why, that was a weak spot in the wood and when a lot was scrolled away it was even weaker. It split right along a grain line. It happens. Could have already had a small internal crack, but with all the other wood as before cutting there was more support so you wouldn't notice.
  8. Looks to me like you should be able to glue that . You probably will not even notice it when you are done.
  9. Okay, sorry I did not notice that when I first saw the picture, all I saw was the clamp was a little to the left or it at least looks that way. I would think that has to be either the hole in the arm for the pivot bolt is off or the the hole/threads that the bolt goes into is off or the bolt is bent. I wonder if going through the threads that bolt is going into with a thread chaser would help. I don't know I would be calling someone. Either way Hegner or whoever you bought it from should make it right somehow. May give you a new saw....
  10. That clamp just floats in there, it is not stationary or solid. I never even check mine when I put it in, never even thought about it. Now, I had the same blade breaking problem when I first got my Hegner. I purchased it from Advance Machinery. I contacted them and they worked with me. We had several conversations, I still could not get it to work on the small blades. I use 2/0 FD blades. They said they would work with me until it was doing exactly what I wanted it to do, but, I finally gave up and decided it only worked with bigger blades, and I could not do delicate pictures with it. I use my other saw for that. Then one day, after several months, I thought, no I paid a lot of money for the saw, and it had to work for me. I put a 2/0 blade in to try again, and it worked like a charm and has ever since. I do not know what I did different except maybe got the tension adjusted correctly, and the top clamp sorta floats also, in that the screw the you screw down to the clamp should not hold it tight there should be a sight amount of wobble. Rereading the instructions it states that also. Now I don't know if either of those items "fixed" my problem, but what ever it was, I am a very happy camper. I love the Hegner. My other saw is an Excalibur, a great saw, but if I had to chose I would chose the Hegner. You might email or call Advance Machinery and discuss it with them. They we very good with me. I have no complaints with them. I gave up before they did.. https://www.advmachinery.com/collections/types?q=Scroll%20Saws I looked, they do not list that model, so I'm thinking you may not be in the U.S.? So maybe you could still email them, or contact the place you purchased it from, they may give just as good service.
  11. If the picture is stored on your computer, go to the "more reply options", and put it on as an attachment.
  12. As stated above such straight crisp lettering. Well done. I stick to pictures, mistakes don't show....
  13. Ha, why am I always out of sync with everyone. I have tried the Pegas blades several times now, and for what I was doing, they were way too aggressive for me. I always seem to go back to my Penguin Silver blades.
  14. had to look the TVR up, never heard of them before. Beautiful automobile. I bought a new Alpha Romero Spider in '66 when I got out if the service. Great little car, but temperamental. My favorite car of all I have owned was a Sunbeam Tiger. What a great/fun car. Dave, very anxious to see your cabinet. Sounds like a great deal. Most the cabinets for my power tools are made out of discarded kitchen and bathroom cabinets (free). They are older cabinets made from good plywood.
  15. I take them to Office Depot or I use PosterRazor. PosterRazor is free software, works very well.

  19. People will be very happy with those magnets. Nice cutting.
  20. What is not to enjoy! That is a great piece and she will cherish it.
  21. That is a great plaque, Dave. The Beadles wrote some pretty music.
  22. Looks good.

  24. Yes, the paint works and works well. You did a great job. I like the shape you gave the wood it is done in also.
