  1. This is one Neptun posted a Feb., 24 or so and I really like the pattern. It is or was for me more difficult than I thought it would be. Some very delicate area. In fact, I added a couple bridges because I did it in a piece of Basswood, and Basswood is very soft and not very strong. I hope I did it justice. I really like the pattern.
  2. That is an awesome collection. Great work.
  3. I have read discussion on here about having motor problems with DeWalt saw, and how it was cost prohibitive to replace a motor. I was on E-bay this A.M. and ran across this posting. I do not know if this is a good price or not. It is another place to look though. http://www.ebay.com/itm/DeWALT-DW788-DELTA-40-690-RECIPROCATING-SCROLL-SAW-MOTOR-ASSY-286306-00/321947331282?_trksid=p2060778.c100290.m3507&_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D40954%26meid%3D9c4108362ffc44839134d886c3a67d26%26pid%3D100290%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D4%26mehot%3Dlo%26sd%3D321947331282
  4. Very nice clocks. I especially like the paint job on the gold one.
  5. Another beauty, Frank. These have become you signature piece I think. Great stuff.
  6. Thanks for the kind comments. I keep think/wishing I had used a lighter wood, like maple. The Bloodwood would have really "popped" then. Maybe one of these days I will get some more thin bloodwood and try it again. Then again maybe I will never get around to it....
  7. This is a thread I some how missed. Great pattern and cutting, Kris.
  8. Great job and a good idea. I should make on for my trailer.
  9. Really a great job on that picture and the fact that you may been to the site, really gives it more meaning to you. For removing the tape/pattern from the wood, this if the best tool I have found for me. X-acto blade #18. The best place I have found to buy them is "topnotchartsupply" on Ebay. Best price and service. The only way I have been able to get photos placed in a post where I want them is to upload them to a photo storage site (I use photobucket) and put the link to the photo where I want the picture to appear.
  10. As always , Dave, exceptionally fine cutting and finish. You do such a professional job.
  11. Nice cutting. Hope it brings lots of work.
  12. Good stuff. I really like the green couple. If they divorce, I may take her.....
  13. I was in my wife's sewing room a while back and noticed she did not have a clock in there. I decided to make her one. This is a bit different, I got the pattern from Sue Mey's site. I used Black Walnut and some Blood. I was hoping the blood wood would not have turned as dark as it did when I put the finish on, but you don't always get exactly what you want. And the reason it is not finished, the hands for the clock were not in the package when I received the movement. My order clearly states the hands I wanted. Remains to be seen how that will turn out. C and C's welcome. My wife does not know about it yet, when I get the hand thing settled, I will hang it in her room and see how many months to by before she notices...
  14. Wonderful clocks.. Must be clock season, I am also working on a clock right now and have another one waiting to do.
  15. I like your spoons, some very nice work.
  16. Good idea, Dick. I will head mine to Independence, Ky, he can start his towards Benton City, Wa. and we will see whose gets there first!
