  1. I'd go have a look, take some scrap wood and see if he will let you try it. If in good shape that is a good price. Not sure it is 18", I think they were made in 16" and 21"
  2. Ha! Fooled me! Looks nice.
  3. That is some very nice work! You are on your way.
  4. Boy, those look nice. I have never seen white records before. I have some old red ones.
  5. I have had the back surgery thing, and cannot sit and scroll for more than around 20 minutes at a time. So I have many little projects going. I scroll a while get up and move around doing other things for a while. The computer is close by I check in here often, I go outside and pick up dog poop or just walk around for a while and then go back and scroll a little more. I get by, and enjoy what I can do.
  6. Says he does with a band saw. Pretty talented.
  7. You could put it in your gallery, warn viewers and post a link to it. Or post it with warning in title, a person does not have to open the thread.
  8. Oh! that is nice. Ha, first glance I thought what are those big suction cups for, then the eyes focus and I saw it was the bottoms of the wine glasses. Great looking.
  9. Dave, the "Scroll Troll"so glad to have you join us in the village. Some very nice looking items.
  10. Not your day for posting pictures, but still a great cut and resulting picture.
  11. First time I have seen that. Absolutely beautiful.
  12. Ha, you won't see any cut here, least not for a long time. My plate it full, and Spring is coming which means more time outside, less time in the shop. We have lots of old records, but I can not imagine Patti letting me cut any, better to have them just sit in boxes in storage. I would think 45'a and LP's would cut the same.
  13. Very well done. Now you can do some bigger ones, with design scrolled into the handles. Neat wall hanger art for a kitchen.
  14. Hey buddy, make sure you do not over do. Those are looking great.
  15. You do a great job cutting letters. It is something that I found was not nearly as easy as I thought it would be. When you do pictures like I like to do, no one can detect if I waver off a line a little. Doing things like letters, it shows up. Got to have a steady hand for sure.
  16. I agree, looks real good!
  17. Very very nice. Make a set every year, see the changes over the years.
  18. That is a great looking one. Please keep us posted on your progress.
  19. Not sure, was reading the instruction last night and looking things over, I was confused (nothing new). I can't start until I get ink in my printer/copier. I want to make copies to work from. Ink is suppose to be here tomorrow or Tuesday.
  20. Very colorful and well done. All except the purple.... I do not care for purple. That's just me. I try to like it but can't, maybe my mom gave me some purple medicine when I was a little fellow and I didn't like it, I don't know. I know she use to shove cod liver oil down me must have been some other purple medicine also.....
  21. I received my patterns for the Robots today, ordered them on the 13th. That's good service. Not sure when I will start, but soon. Any one interested here are some pictures of what you receive. About 4 pages of general instruction, and each robot has 4 or 5 pages of patterns and assembly pictures. Patterns are full size. I have not read the instructions yet so I don't know if there is info on the motor required, but I think they are easy to find and inexpensive. I'm anxious to read more and get started
  22. Great sign. Fine work.
  23. Very nice. Ya, a little cowboy in us, look at my avatar...
  24. Good one Steve. I love working with Cherry and have never been disappointed in the look. I'm a little surprised, being the scroller that you are, that you didn't scroll a little flower or something in the front piece of the vase. Looks nice and shows some beautiful grain.
  25. Turner, there are review of a lot of saw on this forum in the "Articles" section. Might be worth a look. There is one on the saw you are looking at. http://www.scrollsawvillage.com/articles.html/_/resources/scroll-saw-manufacturers
